We contacted Narendra 2 weeks before we planned to travel as our original plans to travel to Sri Lanka fell through. He arranged our tour without any problem very quickly on such short notice. Half of the payment was made online and the second half when we arrived in Jaipur.
We decided to do the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur) as well as Kerala for a total of 11 days. When we arrived in Delhi airport our driver, Bunty, dropped us from the airport to the hotel. Bunty was such a kind and helpful person and really added to our enjoyment of the trip. He was able to recommend good places to eat and always went out of his way to help us and provide us with information on the different areas. Narendra arranged our flight from Jaipur to Cochin and we were picked up in Cochin by another driver who was with us for the remainder of the trip.
The majority of the hotels we stayed in were very nice and luxurious. The only hotel we would not recommend was the Dunes hotel in Cochin as the room was damp and mouldy. The houseboat in Alleppey was a great experience and we would recommend it to anyone. A number of the hotels arrange their own activities which provides good variety to the itinerary.
The tour does not include the entrance fee to the various historical sites and most only take cash so ensure you take out enough money. The ATMs only allow you to take out 10,000 rupees at a time (approx €120). We enjoyed the majority of the sites including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Amber Fort, Ghandi Memorial Museum, Qutub Minar, Humayan’s Tomb, Martial arts show, and many more. Tour guides were included in Agra and Jaipur which was great. We would not recommend the tiger reserve in Thekaddy as it was just a crowded boat ride on a river and no animals could be seen. We would also not recommend doing the national park in Munnar on a cloudy day as we could not see anything, although I am sure it is nice with better weather. These activities are optional so you can let your driver know on the day what you would and would not like to do. The driver brings you from your hotel each morning, drops you to the door of each attraction, and is there to pick you up when you are finished. Bunty even brought us to and from dinner late one evening as he had recommended a very nice restaurant to us.
The tour was great value for money and we got to see so much in the 11 days that we never would have been able to do by ourselves. We felt safe at all times on the tour and would recommend Colourful Indian Holidays to anyone thinking of travelling to India.

This tour was above and beyond my expectations!
Mr. Narendra was always extremely responsive to all of my questions and accommodating with all of my requests as i was planning my trip.
Bunty, the driver that accompanied me throughout my journey was very friendly, informative, and always extremely accommodating with what i wanted to see and/or do. I am very grateful that i was able to meet him and I am also grateful for the stories and knowledge he shared about his culture.
The time that you spend at each city is enough, and there is some time left for you to spend by yourself and explore. The tour guides and driver were always accommodating with the time that I wanted to spend at each monument, so that was really good. Even though there is a lot to see, they never really rush you through any of the sightseeing.
The hotel stays were all wonderful with the exception of Royal Plaza hotel at New Delhi, where i didn't have a good experience, but in no way was this Colourful's fault at all. Also, this is the only hotel that requires 8,000 rupees deposit, so just something to be prepared for if you choose this hotel.
I extremely recommend this tour and would hands down do it again if i were to go back to India.

My husband, my 14 year old daughter and I, went on a 11 day trip to India. The trip was organised by Colourful Indian holidays. It was the most amazing trip from start to end. The tour operator was amazing even from the time of booking all the way through to end of the journey. Narendra from the agency took an active role in making us feel safe at all times. The private driver Bunti was very friendly, accommodating, knowledgable driver, never tired to answer our questions with a smile. He was on time at all times. Every guide was knowledgeable and flexible in adapting plans to our needs. Thanks to the fabulous organisation we have seen the gems of the region and spent an amazing time experiencing the colours and highlights of the region.
We will most certainly use the agency again when coming back to India!

The arrangement that we had was exceptional.
It was arranged with so much care. We were a group of friends, all in our around retirement years, so had a lot of issues such as mobility. The guides were brilliant and had empathy to our needs. We did not cut short any excursions but were adapted keeping our group need in mind.
The company liaised with other companies in Nepal and Bhutan and delivered an excellent holiday experience for us.
The agent representing the company came down with his daughter to meet us in Nepal and took an active role in mitigating issues along with the guide.

We booked our honeymoon trip for Kashmir through Colourful Indian Holidays from 6 t0 10 February. Tour was amazing. Hotel selection was absolutely fantastic. The driver provided by Colourful Indian Holidays was not only a skilled and courteous driver but also a knowledgeable guide, making our journey even more enjoyable. This is the second occasion we have used Colourful Indian Holidays to organise an Indian tour for us. Narendra Poonia arranged a good driver, good 18 day tour of Kerala at a very competitive price. We would have absolutely no hesitation in contacting Narendra again should we revisit India.

I recently visited Jaipur with some friends . Colourful Indian Holidays provided an exceptional tour experience. The owner was incredibly humble and polite, and the package was offered at a very affordable and fair rate. The tour included visits to amazing places, highly rated stays, and excellent restaurant and food recommendations. Highly recommend them!

All the hotels that I stayed in while in India, 17 days, each had there own bathroom with Western toilets. I was a bit apprehensive before this trip but Narendra, the owner, helped us create an experience we will never forget. Glad I went!!
