Tours and Tickets by Delhi Food Walks
Overview
Start the day the right way on this breakfast walking tour of Old Delhi. After being met by your local guide at a centrally located point, head out into the narrow lanes of the old city to sample some of its finest food (without the risk of getting lost!). Stop at hole-in-the-wall vendors there for generations, places that locals cross town to dine at, explore authentic markets, and much more. Come hungry.

I was apprehensive about taking a food tour during COVID, but felt that appropriate precautions were taken to ensure safety. Prithviraj was knowledgeable about the city’s history, and the food. The food was not only tasty, but linked to the different spaces and stories of Old Delhi. The company was able to accommodate adjustments in time to fit the tour into my schedule, and helped organize transport to and from the tour in Delhi.

Had the BEST time with delhi food tours. we called on a day where they werent offering tours and they put together a small group that same day! Anubhav and the crew are so welcoming and caring. always made sure everyone got back to their hotels safe afterwards. ROHAN is the man! very knowledgeable and kind. We were lucky to be in delhi during HOLI and oh boy did we have fun! Happy to say we became good friends and talk each other to this day. Really went out of their way to make us feel apart of the city and culture. That is WHY we came/decided to do a food tour.

Rohan Vinayak was our guide on the Delhi brunch tour. He was fantastic! He told us stories of the areas we were walking around. We stopped at about seven different places to try food. We started having him order only two servings for the four of us, because there was so much to try. He was very patient with us as we were taking a lot of pictures. It’s very busy in the area you walk through so he was constantly looking back to make sure we were right behind him. We did sit down in about three places to eat and there was a bathroom break along the way. My favorite was the Chai tea. I also really enjoyed going up the stairs near the spice market to get an amazing view of the chaos below. The 9 painted houses were beautiful! Thank you again Rohan for a great tour. He also had disinfectant spray for the tuk tuk ride, hand sanitizer wipes and gel for our hands.

Our friendly and knowledgable guide, 'Raj' (Prithviraj Shrivastava), took us to 8 or 9 stops throughout Old Dehli. He knew which cart vendors, small stalls, take-out places, and restaurants had great authentic food with all the safety precautions necessary for foreign visitors to avoid Dehli Belly. We had a fabulous time eating unique and tasty snacks, main dishes, and sweets, talking to vendors - even getting a recipe! - while hearing Raj's stories about local cuisine, culture and history. Not to mention the fun we had watching Indians watching us! Unexpectedly, along with our walking food tour, we visited a Shikh Temple, an alley with painted houses leading to a neighborhood Jain Temple, and our most exciting rickshaw ride through Dehli's narrow streets to reach a remote Kulfi shop. This tour is not to be missed!

We were a group of friends visiting Dehli in March 2020. We have had Rohan as our tour guide. The walks and rides through the crowded streets of old Dehli was the highlight of the tour in India and we have Rohan to thank for making sure that all our needs were catered for. He was extremely knowledgeable and treaded is like friends and not guests. Looking forward to meeting up with our friend again soon to experience more of the delicious foods in Dehli
