India gate is an interesting monument built by the British, is not a must see sight in New Delhi. It is easily accessible and near other historical sights so you might as well take a look while you are in New Delhi. In my opinion, fifteen to twenty minutes is plenty of time to see India Gate.

Delhi is the capital of India. And Delhi Gate is the pride of Delhi. Its history is very long, my tour guide express it very well. A must visit place in Delhi.

India Gate is located in the middle of a roundabout and next to a park. It is a beautiful structure and serves as a war memorial to WW1. For the best views go up close and then down into the park. Great photo stop

Quite a walk to see the monument. Walked under the trees but need to watch out for muddy patches along the way. It was 43°C when we visited this place and was really hot. Just took a few photos of India Gate and off we go. Would recommend to come here in the morning when there are less people and... More

We were lucky to witness a brass band performing when we visited, impressive monument, many hawkers but as long as your firm they were fine, one man was asking my husband if he wanted a picture with a cobra, and proceeded to open his back where he did indeed have a cobra lol. As a white blonde woman a few... More

This is a very good sight to have quality times with friends and family. However, this is a bit crowded always. There might be parking problem sometimes.

This place looks the cleanest of the city and a very well maintained place with the beautiful greenery neary. This huge monument is right next to the parliament and is very accessible to the public. We had the guide explain us about this and the children loved it a lot

The gate and it's park remind me of the mall in Washington DC. The gate is a memorial built by the British to honor 82,000 Indian soldiers who fell in battle between 1914 and 1921. The Gate stands on the Rajpath, a ceremonial road that goes from the Indian President's residence to the National stadium. On the grounds of the... More

A very good place for family outing. The shades at the park qualifies for a picnic site. It is situated very close to the city and transport can be by public means or private means. Ideal for photo session and group discussion site.

India Gate was on our top agenda when we visited Delhi. India Gate can be seen from Rashtrapati Bhawan. One gets sense of patriotism and sacrifices given by our soldiers to protect our country.
