Review of: The Original Delhi Shopping Tour
I had a day to spare in Delhi on my way to Ladakh, so I organised a shopping morning with Ketaki. We met in the foyer of my hotel and discussed what I was looking to do and see and what we could squeeze into our morning. Immediately I felt excited and found Ketaki to be so friendly and intuitive to my agendas. We headed off with her driver, first stop the ATM, which I was grateful to have her help! Then we headed to the markets for some great shopping along with some colourful stories and the most interesting history of some of the buildings in the markets. After everything I wanted on my shopping list was achieved we ended a truly wonderful experience with some delicious street food and a lovely chat. Ketaki also gave me some much appreciated travel advice for my visit to Ladakh. I will definitely go on another adventure with Ketaki next visit to India. Jenny …

Review of: The Original Delhi Shopping Tour
I was in Delhi for a few days and wanted to do some shopping. Dilemma I had no one to go with and did not want to venture to Old Delhi on my own as it's very overwhelming. Thats when I found Shehla's tour on trip advisor and reached out. From the beginning she was warm, friendly and very attentive in understanding what I wanted from the shopping trip. I went with her just a few days ago and had so much fun! I was focused on doing shopping in Chandni Chowk, but she will customize and take you to temples as well. I felt like I was shopping with a friend as she maneuvered us around Old Delhi with such ease. I managed to buy a few items I wanted and even ate some yummy street food. If you are looking for a customized day of shopping, sight seeing, food tours do not hesitate to book Shehla and her driver as well. Both were extremely friendly and took good care of me.…

Review of: The Original Delhi Shopping Tour
My wife and I are South Indians that live in the US and booked Ketaki for a one day shopping tour. Our grasp of Hindi is limited and we had only one day free in Delhi, therefore we decided to hire a local to help us navigate the day. We think the cost ($250 for 2 people , car and driver provided) is reasonable. We wanted some handicrafts and clothes, and she took us to places that we would never have ventured to or found on our own. If you come with an idea of what you want to see / buy, it helps streamline your day. Even if you don't, once you go to a store and tell her what you like and what you don't like there, she will then take you to places that are likely to stock what you want. She is personable and friendly and you will like hanging out with her. She responds to your emails promptly, was on time, and was still full of energy and enthusiasm at the end of a long day! We had to leave behind some clothes to be tailored / altered, and Ketaki followed through on getting those sent to us by courier. Bargaining and commissions are a way of life in Asia. She will haggle on your behalf. We did NOT get the feeling that we were being taken to places that would give her a hefty commission. My wife, a very savvy shopper, felt that what we paid for our purchases was a very reasonable sum. And nowhere did we feel pressured to make a purchase. Transactions are preferred in rupees. If you don't have enough rupees on you, take some new $100 bills and you will get a better exchange rate than you would get at a bank or the airport. On the whole, if you are short on time, hesitant about venturing on your own, worried about getting ripped off, and not sure where to shop, booking Ketaki is well worth it.…

Review of: The Original Delhi Shopping Tour
We looked at lots of tour options for Delhi, but time was short and we really wanted to see Delhi without the usual 'tourist' shops (you know what I mean, you're ushered in like the group before you and shown overpriced gimmicky items, closely followed by another tour group being shown the exact same things...) Ketaki asked us - What do you want to see and shop for? We said Fabrics (my choice) and Silver jewellery and shoes (my companions choice). Honestly, we had the best few hours with Ketaki. She speaks excellent English and is happy to talk about Indian history and culture, any topic you raise. It's like shopping with someone you already know, but who lives in Delhi and knows where all the best shops are. The shopping was fantastic and the rickshaw ride through the old markets was incredible. We were only limited by time and the size of our suitcases. Ketaki was a superb host, friendly and knowledgeable and well worth the investment. We also like supporting other women in business, choosing to tour with her was a highlight of our trip. She also shared the most delicious recipe for peas and bread - because we asked about cuisine and the types of food cooked in her home. Honestly, the tour was amazing and if I were headed back to Delhi, I'd ensure I had a whole free day just to go back to the shops with Ketaki. Highly recommend, cannot rave enough!! Thanks Ketaki for the fantastic time we had with you.…
