I had a day to spare in Delhi on my way to Ladakh, so I organised a shopping morning with Ketaki. We met in the foyer of my hotel and discussed what I was looking to do and see and what we could squeeze into our morning.
Immediately I felt excited and found Ketaki to be so friendly and intuitive to my agendas.
We headed off with her driver, first stop the ATM, which I was grateful to have her help!
Then we headed to the markets for some great shopping along with some colourful stories and the most interesting history of some of the buildings in the markets.
After everything I wanted on my shopping list was achieved we ended a truly wonderful experience with some delicious street food and a lovely chat. Ketaki also gave me some much appreciated travel advice for my visit to Ladakh.
I will definitely go on another adventure with Ketaki next visit to India.

I was in Delhi for a few days and wanted to do some shopping. Dilemma I had no one to go with and did not want to venture to Old Delhi on my own as it's very overwhelming. Thats when I found Shehla's tour on trip advisor and reached out. From the beginning she was warm, friendly and very attentive in understanding what I wanted from the shopping trip. I went with her just a few days ago and had so much fun! I was focused on doing shopping in Chandni Chowk, but she will customize and take you to temples as well. I felt like I was shopping with a friend as she maneuvered us around Old Delhi with such ease. I managed to buy a few items I wanted and even ate some yummy street food. If you are looking for a customized day of shopping, sight seeing, food tours do not hesitate to book Shehla and her driver as well. Both were extremely friendly and took good care of me.

My wife and I are South Indians that live in the US and booked Ketaki for a one day shopping tour. Our grasp of Hindi is limited and we had only one day free in Delhi, therefore we decided to hire a local to help us navigate the day. We think the cost ($250 for 2 people , car and driver provided) is reasonable.

We wanted some handicrafts and clothes, and she took us to places that we would never have ventured to or found on our own. If you come with an idea of what you want to see / buy, it helps streamline your day. Even if you don't, once you go to a store and tell her what you like and what you don't like there, she will then take you to places that are likely to stock what you want.

She is personable and friendly and you will like hanging out with her. She responds to your emails promptly, was on time, and was still full of energy and enthusiasm at the end of a long day!

We had to leave behind some clothes to be tailored / altered, and Ketaki followed through on getting those sent to us by courier.

Bargaining and commissions are a way of life in Asia. She will haggle on your behalf. We did NOT get the feeling that we were being taken to places that would give her a hefty commission. My wife, a very savvy shopper, felt that what we paid for our purchases was a very reasonable sum. And nowhere did we feel pressured to make a purchase.

Transactions are preferred in rupees. If you don't have enough rupees on you, take some new $100 bills and you will get a better exchange rate than you would get at a bank or the airport.

On the whole, if you are short on time, hesitant about venturing on your own, worried about getting ripped off, and not sure where to shop, booking Ketaki is well worth it.

We looked at lots of tour options for Delhi, but time was short and we really wanted to see Delhi without the usual 'tourist' shops (you know what I mean, you're ushered in like the group before you and shown overpriced gimmicky items, closely followed by another tour group being shown the exact same things...) Ketaki asked us - What do you want to see and shop for? We said Fabrics (my choice) and Silver jewellery and shoes (my companions choice). Honestly, we had the best few hours with Ketaki. She speaks excellent English and is happy to talk about Indian history and culture, any topic you raise. It's like shopping with someone you already know, but who lives in Delhi and knows where all the best shops are. The shopping was fantastic and the rickshaw ride through the old markets was incredible. We were only limited by time and the size of our suitcases. Ketaki was a superb host, friendly and knowledgeable and well worth the investment. We also like supporting other women in business, choosing to tour with her was a highlight of our trip. She also shared the most delicious recipe for peas and bread - because we asked about cuisine and the types of food cooked in her home. Honestly, the tour was amazing and if I were headed back to Delhi, I'd ensure I had a whole free day just to go back to the shops with Ketaki. Highly recommend, cannot rave enough!! Thanks Ketaki for the fantastic time we had with you.

Ketaki listened to us and delivered a fantastic experience... even sharing a home cooked tiffen lunch. Her local knowledge and commitment to sharing the best on offer created one of our best experiences. We loved out tour in the market. Came away with great photos, memories and purchases. I'll be back.

Spending time with Ketaki is like being with your best friend or sister. She is so warm and friendly. I didn’t book her for endless shopping but wanted to experience the markets without being overwhelmed. She was amazing. We tried to go to the annual International Crafts Fair but visit by Prime Minister messed that up. So off we went to Chandini Chowk. We wandered the streets visiting stores and stopping to try lots of street food. Ketaki made sure everything was properly cooked for me. We even climbed up through a building for a roof top view. Her passion about Delhi and knowledge of India are amazing. The day was full of stories about the history of Delhi and India. I loved it so much I knew we had to spend more time together. So I booked Monday Feb 3 and we headed straight to the Crafts Fair. It was amazing. We wandered for hours around the grounds stopping to talk with the artisans who loved telling us about their work. Also, we ate and ate it was wonderful. Then she took me some other places as she wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I recommend that you book a full day with Ketaki as you will be disappointed with a half day, it’s not enough time. Also if you aren’t interested in much shopping book her as a tour guide. She can do it all.

Always felt safe as Ketaki is very confident and is calm and friendly with everyone.

I booked a shopping tour over 2 days with Ketaki for my mom and I visiting India for the first time with my mom. I was concerned about my mom being able to keep up while still be able to find beautiful good quality shopping . We had a worldwind of two days in and out of old delhi, shops stores, tailors , old spice market- it was amazing and my mom and I came back to Canada with beautiful pieces that i could not have ever found on my own. Ketaki knows the old delhi markets like no other - we told her what we were looking for and the adventure began. Beautiful , high quality, original pieces and no pressure at all to buy. She knows the quality and I trusted her 100% in what to buy and whether the price was fair. She always kept an eye on my mom to make sure she was ok and my mom had the time of her life. We decided to ship things home and Ketaki made all the arrangements, even sending our tailored clothing to Mumbai which was the end of the trip. Ketaki also spent many more hours with us than her she was supposed to - it was clear that she is passionate about ensuring you are 100% satisfied and that you get everything you want. In addition, she is a warm, kind , very knowledgeable person - it was our first two days in India and it made us feel so welcomed and excited . Ketaki shares wonderful insights into the area and her own personal experiences. I would do this shopping again with out hesitation as it there is no way I would ever begin to have the expertise Ketaki does. My only complaint is she needs to expand to other cities in India !!! Five star tour and you get an experience of a lifetime . It was one of our best experiences in India. Don’t think twice - this is Delhi shopping at its best by a true professional . 3 months later, i still adore everything i bought ! Thank you for such an incredible experience.

We would never have been able to do this on our own. This was a whirlwind of adventure from the markets, to the traffic, to the incredible pigeons. If you want an original look at Delhi Ketaki can make that happen. No pressure to buy anything just a great experience. Thank you, Ketaki.

We booked a shopping/sight-seeing tour with Ketaki for our first day in India before a group tour of Northern India and Nepal. We had limited time in Delhi so wanted to make the most of it. My sister and I agree that this was the best decision of our trip. Ketaki took us to see tourist sites that were not included in our group tour. She has a fantastic way of describing history and making it come alive with stories and not a litany of facts. It was a great way to start learning more about Indian history… And the shopping… Wow! It was just fantastic. Ketaki has a good sense of people and their taste and was very good at taking us to places she thought we’d like… and she was right on. We went everywhere from high-end/designer leather and textile shops, to art galleries, to unique craft markets, to an amazing jewelry store, to a wholesale pashmina shop... and more! You don’t feel any pressure to buy either. Ketaki is super friendly and knowledgeable and she just wants you to discover her city and make sure you make the most of your day with her. It was a great way to discover New Delhi (plus she’ll have you taste some amazing street food). She is also great at bargaining and will help you out with that when needed. We got to see and do so much on our day with Ketaki. It’s pretty crazy to think back at how much we covered in a single day. She also gave fantastic recommendations for sight-seeing and more shopping the following day when we had time on our own.

Her tours are definitely pricier than other shopping tours. However, do NOT hesitate for a second to book with her as the costs are absolutely justified. She does not take you to touristy places where she’s getting a commission. She tailors her tour exactly to your needs. You would not be able to find the places she takes you to on your own. There is no way you won’t come back home with some amazing finds… and even better memories! I’m not kidding. It was absolutely fantastic! It ended up being not only the best shopping of our entire trip, but one of the best days of our trip and we were so grateful and thankful that we booked this tour.
