A rather hectic area where life never stops. One of the best things to do is to take a horse cart ride from New Delhi train station to the Old Delhi train station. If you're lucky, you get to sit next to the driver where you get to see that amidst all the chaos, the weaving in and out of... More

I stayed in this area with my sister for 4 days (2 girls from Australia). Quick summary, avoid this area if: 1: You hate loud noise and constant car horn honking drives you nuts, cause it won't stop and they will blast their horns right behind you. It's very loud and chaotic. 2: you hate dirt, dust, rubbish, stray animals,... More

Ask any Delhiite where do you get maximum budget hotels, and the default answer is Paharganj area. It's a must visit place for all the travellers with shoe string budget. Close proximity to New Delhi Railway station, CP etc. makes this a popular place. Even in the middle of the night the street appears far more awake than any other... More

This is a place in Delhi where you can find many economic hotels with a lot of options since it is a market place. People use to stay here and plan to visit the city accordingly.

Paharganj is across New Delhi railway station and offers cheap shopping and stay in Delhi. The location has its advantages as it is the center of Delhi approachable easily from any where

The hotel we stayed in was ok but outside was not the sort of place I would have willingly chosen if I'd seen it first, was quite dirty and didn't exactly feel at ease here.

A weird and fabulous place in a nutshell. It is a crowded, confusing, commercial, chaotic, complex and conniving city block which hits your five senses with all its charm and filth. A backpackers haven to be exact. Flea markets and cheap eateries dot the lanes and by-lanes of Paharganj. Innumerable shady hotels and dingy hostels sandwiched to one another gives... More

To be honest Paharganj is not everyones cup of chai. But this for me is the whole point to India. Its filthy, it stinks. There are the biggest meanest bugs in every corner. But honestly I love it. I would not recommend this place to easily led types. But if you have the fortitude, its awesome. Plus you can explore... More
