“It is a rare privilege for a person to find himself in the position of a municipal councillor…,” reads a line by Mahatma Gandhi that is up on one of the outer walls of the Town Hall in Chandni Chowk, a building which was once the office of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi

Landmark building of Delhi

The The Delhi Town Hall is the former town hall building of the city, although that function has now been shifted to a newer building. Now the building stands as a landmark of the city. To be honest the building is not all that interesting apart the pale yellow painted walls. Other than that it’s a fairly typical colonial era building. Just in front of the building is a statue of Swami Shraddhanand.
