I was nervous to travel in India without some assistance. Active India was amazing. Priya assisted with all the pre-trip planning. She made many adjustments as my plans evolved. I gave a price range for the trip and she did a great job finding safe, clean hotels that fit perfectly within that range while providing a very FULL itinerary. My daughter and I only had 4 days but we defintiely saw all the highlights of the Golden Traingle. As well as monuments and forts, we were offered uniqute experiences like a cooking class and market tour. I am in great gratitude for our driver, Puran. Puran always had our best interests in mind. He drove safely (and without honking unlike most other Indians), taught us about India, and even had snacks and fruit for us in the car. I would definitely reccommend Active India to anyone.

This is the second trip we’ve done through Active India and with good reason. They are very flexible and responsive tailoring our trip specifically following my requests in advance but adding their suggestions advice and expertise of the areas we visited. All team members from all offices checked ahead to ensure everything went smoothly and were on hand if it didn’t (which was rare). They even set up a WhatsApp group so I had confidence and contact should I need it at all times. Everyone from the managing director down cared that we had the best time smoothly run to itinerary and that really matters. It’s what sets them ahead of other tour companies. Highly recommend as I have utmost trust and faith in this company following 2 successful wonderful trips to 2 completely different areas in amazing India. So it’s thank you to Ravi Tickoos Heena and all the team but for me it’s a special thanks to Priya who always goes above and beyond.

Working with Ravi was a pleasure from beginning to end. He was incredibly patient, helpful, and accommodating while we were planning the trip and making multiple changes to the itinerary. He and his team made for a super smooth experience once we got to India by providing excellent, timely service and making sure they were always available to help with our requests. All the guides, local representatives and drivers we worked with were very professional and always on time. I particularly recommend working with Yuvraj, our guide in Udaipur who was super knowledgeable and made for the most memorable experience.
Priya, one of the local representatives, also went above and beyond to take care of us (even after her services were officially over) and managed to arrange a last minute over-night car ride back to Delhi when one of our flights got rerouted due to bad weather.
India can be an overwhelming place for first time visitors like us, so if you want to ensure a smooth experience don’t hesitate to work with Ravi and his team.

After many years of wanting to visit India, Active India was recommended by some friends who had made a similar trip last year.
From the outset this company was excellent from the planning and fine tuning of our special holiday right through the trip until its conclusion. Drivers and guides were excellent and hotels were as we had booked- some good 3 stars and some beautiful havelis and 4 stars. The company even had a whatsapp group set up to provide instant help with anything that came up.
We travelled through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala. It was a fascinating and richly cultural experience. Active India is an excellent company which has been in existence for 20 years and we would highly recommend them.

Active India arranged a superb itinerary for my family and I to travel around northern India for 2 weeks. Discussing the arrangements and agreeing the itinerary was very smooth via email and the options offered including a few upgrades to hotels were very well considered to suit us.
I was very pleasantly surprised with the prices for a bespoke tour that the team put together, it made a family experience holiday affordable.
Once we arrived in India the full customer service from the Active India team really came into play, from start to end we were looked after by superb guides and 2 excellent drivers.
I would highly recommend anyone wishing to travel in India to contact AI to discuss a bespoke tour.

we - my wife’s and 4 teenage kids - just completed the golden triangle tour. Active India (thru kim kim) put together the itinerary and handled all of the logistics. we had someone meet us through each stage of the visit - to and from the airport/train stations. Our tour guides we well informed, friendly and helpful. Active India took the stress out of putting together this trip to a foreign land.
We missed our train one day and they pulled together plan b in short order. they were responsive and helpful. i would recommend them to other folks looking to explore india, particularly on a tight time frame

Every part of my trip through Active India was flawless. We are a group of late 20s Americans who attend a wedding in Mumbai and then wanted to see the Golden Triangle while we were over. We were immediately assigned a point person, Ravi, who was incredibly thoughtful and responsive, and crafted the perfect itinerary for us. We are an opinionated group with strong hotel preferences and Ravi navigated with ease. Upon arrival, we were met by our travel liason, Ajay, and I can’t imagine seeing India without him. Ajay was our advocate and Sherpa and made it extremely special and smooth, even helping us order at dinner and navigating a nut allergy. All local guides and drivers were also fantastic, and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, even very inexperienced travelers. Can’t say enough great things about India, and Ravi and Ajay!

I've contacted Active India through Kimkim and I must say that I've really enjoyed my experience!
As a start, and to make the communication easy during the trip, I was added to a WhatsApp group with Ravi and the Active India emergency number and I gave consistent feedback and requested to book for optional trips. The response to my queries were really quick.
Active India are really attentive and I felt like they were looking after me during the trip. They've got the details from my emergency contact and of my insurance policy at the very start of the trip.
Also they hotels they booked for me were of really high standard and located close to the main places I wanted to visit.
I've had the chance to meet 5 tour guides during the trip and all of them were experienced and knew very well about the trip location as they were mostly locals and knew where the hidden gems were. My only advice is that if you are not willing to shop anything and you are more into visiting the cities or landmarks, then that you make clear from the very beginning that you don't want to go to any shop and that you would rather invest your time in visiting the city or other places of interest. You could end up stuck in one of these shops for an hour!
Finally, my special mention goes to my driver Umesh. He has been with me during all the trip and took me to all the places I visited (Delhi, Jaipur, Ranthambore and Agra). He has been really punctual and professional and also took good care of me.
If you're planning to book your holidays in India and want to book a guide and someone to book the hotels and transport on your behalf, don't hesitate to contact Active India!

Our second time in Rajasthan. Everything has been very carefully planned, organized and delivered perfectly. Maximum flexibility in fine tuning the itinerary based on our requests. From the driver to the local guides and the entire reservation mechanic (we went through 7 hotels over 10 days) everything has been perfect. I must say that Active India is part of the global organization Insight Guides that we have used often on other trips and I really appreciate their wide and highly experienced network as it has been fully confirmed also this time

Brilliant trip of the golden triangle and Varanasi with Ketan from Active India. I was part of a group of 7 tourists travelling in a spacious air conditioned minibus plus a couple of overnight train journeys. Ketan was brilliant, he took the stress out of travelling in a country which is full on. He was knowlegable, organised, able to cater for all our requests and sorted out the many tipping occasions throughout the day and always with a smile. He's obviously been leading tours for a while as I felt we saw the best of everything in the best way.
