It was an incredible tour and very good the arrangement of that. The team of guides, it couldn’t be the best! I am very grateful and now, I know a lot of India and its culture. Amazing trip, very recommendable.

We met Mr. Gaurav Chawla at his office in Connaught Place as soon as we arrived in Delhi. He was recommended to us by a friend who used their services last year. We were a little lost and overwhelmed in such a chaotic city and meeting him was the best thing that could possibly ever happen to us. He organized our holiday package for 10 days: Delhi, Agra , Jaipur and Varanasi. We stayed in old and charming havelis throughout except for Agra where we were made to stay in Clarks . The innova car provided to us was brand new and the driver was well aware of the routes and the places to visit. The local guide in Varanasi - Mr. Santosh Sharma was exceptional and took us to silk saree manufacturing units and also organised a temple tour . We would like to rate our experience as one of the most comfortable , starting from identifying the destinations / hotels and city experiences to communicating with the support staff for assistance such as where to eat , what to buy , etc . Thanks for a great holiday !!

Gagan sharma is the best tour manager i have ever came across, he makes sure everything is delivered whatevr they promised, makes the best efforts to help you out in all the situations....really enjoyed the trip thanks alot Gagan , all the best keep up your good work.

Our 4 weeks holiday to India was one of the most exciting trips till date . Swan Tours was a delight to do business with; their attention to detail, enthusiasm, professionalism, vast experience and knowledge ensured that we experienced the best during our tour. The correspondence with them was very easy , the response time was minimal and the details offered to queries made the understanding very easy . All our ideas were welcomed and were put in the final tour plan.
Swan Tours helped us choose the destinations , hotels to stay in , enroute site visits between the major destinations and much more , the process lasted more than 2 weeks and they were very patiently helping us out to customise a perfect plan.
Our tour was almost for a month and we covered as much as possible . Visited Delhi , Rajasthan , Varanasi , Mumbai , Goa and Kerala . Flight and train tickets were done by them . Travel between the cities was very convenient by a car that was only for our family . The drivers, were courteous , we felt safe with them and were aware of the routes as well, although some of them were not fluent with English .
The tour guides that met us at each airport , railway station and some time at the hotel were local people form the area , professional and reliable. The guides knew the important historical and other related aspects of the monuments and sightseeing spots in the area .
I feel it is impossible to understand the local culture of the city without a local guide involved as all the cities we visited were very different to each other .
Last but not the least , the hotels chosen were all local 4 star hotels , we stayed at few heritage hotels in Rajasthan and the highlight was that they were close to city centre and during the evenings we could explore local markets and try some local food on our own .
Thank you Swan Tours for a fantastic holiday !! We will surely recommend them to ours friends and family.

We had traveled with Swan Tours in the North of India ( Golden Triangle with Rajasthan ) back in 2014 and were very pleased with our holiday and with the way it was managed .
Wanting to see more of the country and particularly the eastern part , we had no hesitation in asking Swan Tours to once again plan our trip, safe in the knowledge that we would be in good hands and that we would be supported before and during the tour.
The Swan team put together a travel plan and suggested a mix of small boutique and heritage hotels. We then had a conversation back and forth for a while, finalizing all the details to perfection..
Our extended family ( 11 of us ) traveled together and were looked after all the way through our trip: met off at the airports and railway stations , having our own driver and guide for the main part of the holiday and getting messages from the Delhi office during our trip, ensuring that all was going well.
We had a wonderful time exploring the East of the country, starting in Guwahati , with a cruise in the mighty Brahmaputra river and ending up in Bagdogra after covering Darjeeling and Gangtok .
We could not have been happier with the organisation of our tour and found the whole process very smooth.
Correspondence with the tour manager assigned made the whole experience really easy. They always responded to all our inquiries very promptly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Swan Tours and as discussed we shall be coming back to shortly explore Kerala and Lakshadweep .

Overall, Swan Tours was OKAY, not bad and not great. They were just average. I’d recommend researching another company that might be more personable. My main goals were to see the Taj Mahal and return home safe. Those goals were met.
My son and I did the Golden Triangle Tour for 5 nights, 6 days. My friend and her husband did the tour as well but came in on another flight. The hotels we stayed at were Bloom Boutique (Delhi), Marriot (Agra), and Alsisar Haveli (Jaipur). We paid extra for a larger vehicle, tour guides, and Leopard Sanctuary.
Would I book with Swan Tours again? Nope. I would look at using another tour company.
Pros:
-Cheaper tour package
-Clean tour vehicle
-Decent tour guides
-Paid with credit card
-PDF with historical attraction information
Cons:
-Did not follow our flight itineraries. My flight was delayed, and there was no driver to pick up the other two people in my party. They ended up having to wait over an hour (closer to two hours) for the driver to pick them up. There was a lot of miscommunications. Even when I finally arrived, I still had to wait almost an hour for the driver to pick me up from the airport. Then we were charged an additional 2,000 IR for the 2nd pickup. It was aggravating how quick they were to charge us but not take responsibility for not following our flights, which resulted in us waiting way too long for a ride.
-Driver spoke little to no English.
- We received an itinerary; however, there were no times. We didn’t know when to start the day or how long to stay at attractions. The driver was oblivious to the schedule, and when we asked him, he’d just shrug his shoulders.
-Meal times were not planned. The driver and the tour guides were surprised when we questioned what time lunch or dinner would be. We were not given the opportunity to purchase snacks. The car rides to each city are ridiculously long.
-We missed several attractions because we were taken to tourist shopping locations. These shopping stops were not part of the itinerary. While we were doing the Old Delhi tour, I wanted to quickly stop at a shop selling saris, but the tour guide told me he would take me to a better place. He took us to a tourist shopping complex which had higher prices compared to the market. It was frustrating. Then in Agra, after the Taj Mahal, they took us to a marble shop. We were so confused about them taking us to these shopping complexes. Finally in Jaipur we caught on and when they stopped in front of a shopping complex, we asked to immediately leave. **Found out later that they get a 40% commission**
-Missed out on some incredible attractions because of those commissioned shopping stops.
-We paid extra for tour guides but didn’t have one on our 2nd day in Delhi.
-Rest Stops were not planned. It was all impromptu. We were traveling with a kid, so you’d think they would plan for more frequent stops. However, that was not the case.
-Swan Tours didn’t reach out to us to see how things were going. It was radio silence on their end. No pleasantries that typically are provided with other tour companies.

We had a memorable trip with the support of Swan Tours and Travels. They created a very practical itinerary for my travel to Nainital. The driver was really professional and never made us tensed even on ghat roads.
Note: I prefer Swan travels only for all my future trips from Delhi.
