Dopo oltre 20 anni ho voluto riprendere il treno per Agra e non il super lusso Maraja,ma la prima classe delle otto previste che chiamano A1. Arrivare con i bagagli al treno non è cosa semplice se non si è aiutati da portabagagli. All’inizio non capivo perché per un viaggio di sole quattro ore ci avessero dato delle cuccette, ma poi ho capito che sono treni che attraversano tutta l’India per giorni. Le cuccette possono essere trasformate in sedili se si vuole. Le condizioni degli altri viaggiatori sono molto meno felici, direi lontanissime dai nostri standard minimi occidentali. La seconda esperienza è stata Agra Jaipur , sei ore di viaggio di notte. Stesse difficoltà specie per collocare le valigie, ma molto rassicurante la presenza di molta polizia ed addirittura di addetti alle pulizie. Tutto sommato si percepisce anche in questo settore un grande sforzo di migliorare gli standard di sicurezza ed efficienza.
