Did the Sikkim - Darjeeling (Eastern Himalayas) motorcycle with AB Original tours in October 2024, and it was fabulous!
From booking to initial airport transfer to the airport drop-off at the end the entire trip was flawlessly organised, supported and delivered. The hotels and food were exceptional, and the off-bike experiences and places of interest were fascinating and gave a wonderful insight into the rich culture of India.
Atul has built a very professional tour outfit, and as a motorcyclist he knows what riders want and need, and delivers in spades!
Riding our sturdy RE Himalayan 411's through the stunning landscapes of the eastern Himalayas was breath-taking, and the ride pace and rest stops were tailored to let us take it all in. The road conditions varied from excellent to "... that's a road?" but the bikes soaked it all up with no dramas, and we all came away with some new riding skills. Lots of mountain hairpin bends uphill and downhill, with/without cows, dogs, chickens, monkeys, goats, yaks, potholes, landslides and traffic of all vehicle sizes. What a blast!
Our guide and ride captain Aashish spoke perfect english and did everything possible to make sure our ride group fully enjoyed our tour, and stayed safe and healthy. He was an excellent guide, ride leader, information source, shopping negotiator, proud ambassador for his country and a great guy to ride with. The support crew were ever smiling and helpful and nothing was ever a bother.
I can't imagine doing a motorbike tour in India with anyone else, and I'm looking forward to my next tour with Atul, Aashish and AB Original tours to see more of this fascinating country.

Right from the beginning of enquiries, Atul was helpful and informative. He was able to give us travel advice for everything needed for our adventure in India.
And adventure it was! We chose the 'Bullet to the desert' trip, touring through Rajasthan. The quality of the bikes, and team, (including guides, support vehicle, mechanic) we're second to none. Our guide leader, Dheeraj, was sensitive to what ticked our boxes, and took us through roads and villages we would have otherwise bypassed. Ashish, our other guide, helped constantly with markets, language, ATMs, haggling, and whatever help we needed.
Accomodation was top class at every stop.
All round, it was an even better trip than any of us expected.
Top marks, fellas, we're already planning the next bike trip with you.

We went on the Himalayas 15 days - The Spiti Circuit in September. I went with my brother, and had some very interesting bonding time and laughs.
AB Original tours were professional all the way through this tour. We had to change our agenda due to landslides, that delayed us from our destination. However, the professionalism and our safety was highest priority by the Atul and team.
I would recommend anyone wanting to go on this tour to ensure they have the correct gear and read all the instructions sent by AB Tours. I would also recommend for individuals to practice off road, since some of the track is very challenging. After my initial sock, i really started enjoying the tour. This was thanks to all the support team and also the other guests in our trip. We have made some life long friends and had lots of laughs during this trip.
Special thanks to the support team who were there at every stage. (Thank you).
If I ever did any further trips I would go through AB Original Motorcycle Adventure Tours. (Thank you for making this trip memorable).

Wow what an amazing trip! Atul, Deeraj and the whole team made sure that the trip was as smooth, comfortable and a whole lot of fun 😊
The food was incredible, so much variety, the places we stayed were clean, comfortable and great value for money
The scenery was definitely a highlight. The bikes were so easy and comfortable to ride especially on some of the more ‘adventurous’ roads we went on!
Atul made everything so easy, even before and after the tour.
Would highly recommend to anyone that’s wants a cool adventure with some great people!

4th trip with Atul and co. Amazing scenery and great balance between riding and sight seeing. Rajasthan has many things to see incl forts and palaces, lakes, hills, forests and deserts. Thoroughly recommend! A great company to tour with in India.

I was referred to AB Original tours from a friend that has done two, and it did not dissapoint. We did the Spiti tour of Himalayas and scenery and riding was spectacular. Atul and the team run a fantastic tour and looked after us from the moment we landed until we departed India. Highly recommended.

Great experience all round again with Atul and his team at AB Original Motorcycle Tours in Uttarakhand, India. This is the third time that my wife and I have been on a motorcycle tour with Atul, first time in Rajasthan in 2014, then in Kerala in 2019 and this trip in March/April 2023.
Each tour has been different, but the constants have been the focus on the comfort and safety of the group, the impeccable organisation of every aspect of the tour, the accommodation, always interesting, locally run and clean, comfortable with great views and good service and food. Atul and his team are always helpful, friendly, accommodating and professional. The bikes have been great each trip and Atul even made his last RE Classic 500 Bullet available for me and my wife at our request. We also had a couple of days on a Himalayan, also a very nice motorcycle, especially on some of the more challenging parts of the Uttarakhand roads,
Uttarakhand is another amazing part of India that we enjoyed very much. Highlights were the breathtaking views of the middle Himalayas, following the upper reaches of the Ganges River, the lakeside city Nainital, Rishikesh with its Beatles cafe, the great North Indian food and just that unique cultural feel of being in India. Always interesting and different, but very safe and accepting.
The riding experience on the Uttarakhand trip was also very good, more challenging than Rajasthan and Kerala, but quite manageable and rewarding actually for me as an medium to well experienced RE rider and for my wife who has only pillioned to any great on our AB Original tours. As for all three tours, expect the unexpected, stay alert and just enjoy the ride.
Thanks again to Atul and his team for another unforgettable India experience.

I had wanted to have a look at India for a while. Met a bloke out walking the dog who had done several trips with Atul and couldn't recommend it enough. Looked at it, booked it, and after a slight delay due numbers being low got on a two week tour of Rajasthan in November 22. I went on my own thinking that the others in the group would be interested in the same things, so not a problem. Six of us in the group. Mixed bag, 2 Brits, 2 Ozzy, a kiwi and a yank. And great company they were too. From the first contact less the time difference information from Atul was first class. Detailed emails on what to wear, the culture right down to where to meet the taxi driver at the airport were very informative. The accommodation, food and tours and guides were excellent. I don't think any one in our party was ill the whole trip. The bikes were in great condition and well looked after by the lads in the support crew and never far behind with the support bus with snacks and drinks on the ride. Dheeraj was our guide for the two weeks and he was very knowledgeable and a great company. Looking through hundreds of photographs a few weeks later really shows how big and an interesting country India is. I will defiantly be going back for more adventure. The only worries were getting a UK visas and if the Kingfisher beer would be cold enough!

I can not recommend AB Original tour’s enough. My wife and I did their 2week Rajasthan recently and it was fantastic.
My wife was very apprehensive being relatively new to riding, but Atul and his team were great with through briefings, advice and assistance. Our tour guide, Dheeraj was especially patient and encouraging with everyone being comfortable and confident by the second day.
The bikes were great and well maintained both before and during the tour. The riding itself varied from dual lane open highway, to city riding, mountains, single lane country roads and small villages. We shared the roads with all manner of motorised vehicles as well a cattle, camels, dogs. Mongoose, pigs, chickens, buffalo and elephants.
The accommodation was great, the food fantastic and the local people friendly and approachable. The mix of riding, sightseeing and free time was just right.
India was a fantastic experience and seeing it from the back of a motorcycle was just superb. If you ride and are looking for something different book one of the tours offed by AB Original, you won’t be disappointed.
We will be heading back as soon as we can.
