Taking a break, this place offers a much flatter view of the sun moon lake. An uniquely shaped building surrounded by greens, there are many very well groomed Bonsai trees along with carved rocks. Very pleasant area for photos and a rest. Accessible by bike.

Please go to this place to get a best view of sun moon lake. Close to Xiangshan there are some place to rent a bicycle and do a little ride of beautiful sun moon lake. other than this there is no special activity to do.

The Xiangshan Visitor Center is a clean and open designed area with some nice coffee and souvenier shops and small restaurants. From this location you hava beautiful view over the Sun Moon Lake and at the same time you can find some shadow on hot days. Very interesting are the acoustic effects if you stand in the open hall and... More

Our tour stops here for a convenient break stop. The architecture consisting of two embracing arms is interesting but not greatly appealing. The view of the lake is so so. The Visitor center provides common souvenir goods. I wouldn't make it a priority, but if you are driving by then why not have a short break?

The visitor's center offers an additional view of Sun Moon Lake. It has a unique design, a small gift shop, and restaurant.

The building is beautifully designed blending into the surrounding neatly. The view of Sun Moon Lake from this building is amazing, due to the infinity type pond at the edge of the building. One can enjoy the view while having.

Nothing is more out of place then a massive concrete building, in the middle of a beautiful high mountain forest. Normally I would hate the look of a un natural building in this setting. But I was told this was a design by a famous artist from Japan. I could not take my eyes off this building. It was strangely... More

We stopped here as we traveled around the lake. It is perched on the edge of a cliff that over looks the lake. Hence, it is a good place to take some nice pictures. The building itself is interesting in design and there are places where the lighting gives a good effect for photos. Our guide told us that couples... More

I loved the futuristic building with a water pool optically joining the lake in the back ground. I actually didnt go in but definately worth a few pictures to contrast the many temples. The center is on the bike trail and walking trail.
