We didn't feel comfortable here. The tour was interesting but we felt like they were doing the hard sell on us from the start. We have to say that the shop downstairs was amazing with thousands of pieces of wood craft in all sizes and...More

Very nice presentation folowed by selling overpriced items. For example the masks are sold 5 times more than outside in the market . They will tell you that it is better quality, but it still don’t justify the gup. Enjoy the tour but don’t buy...More

This is a pretty obvious tourist trap once you get in there. I have to say that the start of the experience was enjoyable as they bring you through the different types of wood and give you a little display of colour chemistry to show...More

We tailor made a wooden sign for gals’ bedroom. It cost is usd90 but the product was disappointing. It was literally plank of wood with the names blocked carved in. Can’t imagine being charged the price with such quality.

I enjoyed the stop and the tour. It would have been nice to hear about the tools, skill and time to make the extraordinary art. I thought the prices were high for Sri Lanka, especially the masks that can be bought at the government store...More

Nice place to look at what's available but definitely over the top in prices. And if this is the first stop in Kandy for shopping that your tour guide brought you to, enjoy the woodcarving and painting shows well as the variety but shop elsewhere.
