The Royal Palace of Kandy was the royal residence of the Sri Lankan monarchy. The last king to reside in this palace was King Sri Wickrama Rajasinha 17th century.

This place is in the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic complex It had served as the official residence for the monarchs of Kandy until the British rule in 1815

I think this palace is the main attraction of Kandy but not as magnificent as i expected but a very huge complex

This place is where royal family lived during Kandy Kingdom of Sri lanka. It is also locates in the premises of Temple of tooth relic Kandy. Worthy to visit.

Many thanks for all the service team really they made our wedding memorable , the waiters Hassan & Ahmed Seoudy was helpful and professional , Zizo the shadow man really he was helpful and special thanks for him , The Managers Mr.Ghandour&Mr.Elbana many thanks for their great managing for our wedding

Once it was a palace, now that palace so proudly holds the scared tooth relic of load Buddha.Be mindful, whenever you visit the temple, you must dressed accordingly otherwise security would not allow to go in. Dress code is long fully covered white dress. Don’t wear caps, hats. Weekend and Poya days are crowded. Within the temple, there are museums, bookstores and souvenir shops can be found.

Place is in the same area like sacred tooth ... beware you must have long throusers and shirt...nice garden around

They said it was the old palace used by the king.bit small from our expectation,but still it has the glory of ancient Sri lanka..
