The title says it all, and it left much to the imagination. We were the only pair in the museum when we visited and this made our visit very quiet and seem strange. The entrance fee also includes a pot of tea at the end of the tour. Alternative drinks were offered, but those had to be paid for. Our... More

The museum is filled with old tea making machines. It is interesting for the first room or two, but then it becomes a bit tedious. Our guide droned on about these machines in a monotone like she had given this presentation a thousand times before. The best thing of all was the tea tasting at the end of the tour.... More

We enjoyed our visit to the tea museum. It was made that much more informative with the help of our guide. Worth the time to visit.

We stopped here on our way to the botanical gardens. I don't drink tea and my husband didn't before we went to Sri Lanka. However it was very interesting to learn about tea production. We bought a few teas which we took home and my husband subsequently enjoyed. Our guide was pleasant, I felt a bit for her like she... More

Really interesting place, beautiful scenery and interesting tour with friendly, knowledgable staff. Free tea at the end too :) And lovely gift shop area with no pressure to buy, although we got a few bits.

We got to do our own tea picking and stay in this lovely Converted factory. It's at the very top of a lovely quaint village.

We arrived just in time to join a small guided tour of the old tea factory, which has 5 floors and is well maintained. The short tour gave us a good overview of how tea is made, and all the machinery was really interesting and in good condition. After the brief tour, we had a free cup of tea and... More

There is a guided tour and the guide explains all the machines etc but once finished you can wander around at leisure. Tour finished with a free cup of tea though you had to pay for the iced tea.....it was very informative if a bit lacking in atmosphere.
