We are not much into very touristic attractions but the experience at this place was quite nice. The dancers are quite good and the dressing to. If you go without much expectation you will pass a good moment there. The walk on ashes is also...More

Quite cool, the recommendation is to book early to make sure you get a good price. Good performance which ran to time.

As part of a package of sightseeing then fine but as with any 'cultural' dance, you have seen one you have seen them all. One felt it was just an excuse to add the ability for most of the locals to gain tips or custom....More

The music, costumes and dancing were excellent, a great performance, but not really worth the LKR 1000 they charged at the cultural centre. Take something to drink and insect repellent. You get a great view from the first row of seats upstairs but it then...More

The performance wasn't great and the performers looked like they were forced to dance and drum! I hope we just went on a bad night, but I wouldn't return.

If you want to know how many tourists are in the area at any one time, this is the place (actually there are a few places) to be. Having said that, it is interesting to sample the music and look at the really beautiful costumes....More

This is a lovely way to start an evening, watching traditional Kandyan dance. The dancers wore colourful costumes and were very entertaining. A thoroughly enjoyable cultural display for a small price (entrance cost was Rs500)

5pm. But at that time it is a scramble to get good seating - no reserved seating exists. Reach about 15 to 30 minutes early. The duration is about an hour including a Fire dance which is outside the performance hall.
