Too far from Kandy

The couple who run this home stay are very kind and helpful. The food was nice and there was free drinking water available. Breakfast overlooking the river is beautiful. However, it was a 30 min tuk drive up and down steep hills from Kandy centre so the 2.5 km from the stadium claim is misleading. After 3 days this was irritating and it wasn’t much fun coming back from Kandy in the dark. Take the address in the local language and the home stay phone number as the several tuks we used found Chaminrich difficult to find.
It’s peaceful during the day but take earplugs as the stray dogs bark incessantly all night!
