The symbol of Podgorica and also the greatest river flowing through the Capital. Its deep riverbed, large rocks and icy temperatures are just some of the main characteristics of this mountain river. On its way through the Capital, Moraca also carved out many caves. It is 113 kilometres long, and it runs from north to south, flowing into the Skadar Lake.

Morača is an awesome river. Amazing color and clarity of water. To pass her without stopping has never happened to me. No matter how much I'm in a hurry I dedicate at least ten - fifteen minutes to this beauty. She accompanies you on the way from the north of Montenegro to the Adriatic and turns the trip into a... The view is amazing! You can see the canyon from the road if you go by car or by bus, but it's even more thrilling to see it from the railroad if you take the train from Podgorica to Kolashin. The river and the mountains are very beautiful.

Very beautiful river. A real touch of nature can be seen in the canyon of the river Moraca which extends along the country. Many children in Montenegro are taught to swim at this wild river, so Montenegrins are very good swimmers. BBQ by the river in the sunset is ideal for friends.

This is a pretty river that gives the city a bit of character. You can see people fishing and swimming in the warmer months

We went on a self guided walk with friends. Entered the Moraca river for a swim from the site of the Roman bridge. Was very hot and the river looked too good to resist. A little water weed but entry and exit easy. Be careful where you try to enter the river. My daughter tried to go for a swim... More

Nice place to swim and go fishing in the heart of the city, it is near to the old bridge so you can also take a look at the old bridge while there

Viewed the river from many viewpoints. Lovely and clear - point off for being surrounded by rubbish a lot of the time, but definitely worth finding a spot to dive in when the Summer days are hot!
