This is a very small museum and the word palace does not seem quite appropriate. However, it is still worth a visit and the history of Montenegro is very interesting.

While billled as King Nicola's Palace, it is really a large home. It has now been converted into a musuem. Cetinje was once the capital of Montenegro. Some of the various foreign embassy offices/homes still exist. Enjoy.

The palace is not huge but we'll worth a visit to see the elegant interior. Along with the plaques on the outside of other buildings around town this helps you to start to understand the history of Montenegro. At €5 it was inexpensive or you...More

A fraction of what was left from the original "castle". Well upkeep. No photos or video. The guide did a great job about King Nichola's family.

The building is ugly. it is the ancient palace of the Crnojevic family. Everything inside is original. it is very well preserved: furniture, lighting, carpets, glassware, crockery, etc... You need a guide who will explain the life of the family. It is facinating to learn...More

Very enjoyable visit to Cetinje and the old royal palace. Loads of other interesting buildings in the city. King Nikola ruled for 58 years until his death in 1918. He was the last King. Montenegro was often attacked. The Ottoman Empire raided the country during...More

This is a bit of a hidden gem, the opulent interiors are well worth the entrance fee. The staff were also incredibly helpful, they ordered us a taxi and gave us a free tour whilst we waited, They then took us outside to where the...More

Quite fascinating museum of the old royal palace of King Nikola. The rooms are richly decorated, the whole palace very well maintained, the tour gives you a glimpse of how the royalty lived a century ago.
