If you are planning to visit Cetinje, the old montenegrian capital, you have to visit this monastery but do not expect too much. In any case - worth to visit.

Loved our visit to the monastery a real quiet and peacful place, spiritually uplifting. We were lucky to have visited before the coach parties (try and plan your visit not to be there when the scheduled tours arrive)

This monastery has wonderful architecture and close to it is really nice small church. If you want to visit monastery, everybody is allowed inside - if you don't have trousers/skirts covering knees, you will be asked to put on scarf to cover them.

The architecture is grand. The church is small. The interiors are beautiful. Smells of beeswax which is always a delight.

The Monastery is quite imposing from the outside. When one gets inside, there is a que to see the relics. I am not a religious person so it did not mean much to me, for others, waiting in long lines it probably did. Most annoying:...More
