We had never heard of the poet Ady Endre. The museum keeper spoke good English and was very informative. Interesting to find out that Oradea was once the Paris of the east!

This was the office of Ady Endre and has many of his possessions and memorabilia, including his desk and furniture he used. Interestingly, it also had memorabilia of several of his girlfriends. Allow 20-30 minutes.

As a fan, admirer of Endre Ady, I really enjoyed the visit. Oradea is rightly proud of him. The man in charge was terrific, told us a lot about Ady and certainly was very knowledgeable. His kindness and enthusiasm was appreciated.

Definitely worth a visit to this ,memorial house to Nagyvárad's most famous son Ady Endre, close to the city centre, and extremely affordable. Piece of history in the heart of the city.
