A museum very well structured in different sections and with a staff that welcomes you warmly. It was an unexpectedly pleasant visit and it's an experience I would repeat.

The Museum of „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University is the result of two complementary traditions and continues the work of several academic structures designed to build the institutional memory.
We need to visit this museum, because it shows how much we have evolved as humans, do your time and come here, you will not be sorry!!!

the Cucuteni culture is spread over the present territory of Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
this museum is a very representative culture, with information guides.
I discovered and found very interesting and useful things thanks to the guides.
there are 4 rooms about the culture of Cucuteni, where the guide explains very well about this culture and answers your questions.
if time allows, you can go upstairs to the museum where, with the help of a guide, you will learn about the first university in Romania, and which were the first faculties.
you will discover the life of the student from that period.
It's a museum that really deserves to be visited especially because it's free entry and tour of the guide.
I liked it very much, surely I will come back with love.

A special place with the story behind the exhibits, a story that leads you to the Cucuteni Civilization. I appreciated the exhibits a lot, their age and I learned much more information from the people who work there. Until now, I've been to the museum three times and I will definitely visit it again, but every time I'm surprised to see those things because some are unique. My advice is to get there without any thoughts that will make you uncomfortable and get into the magic of the story of that era. Upstairs there are many details about communism in Romania, but also about the founding of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University

What attracted me the most were the painted vessels in different colors, weapons and tools. The University Museum A.I.Cuza brings together the same framework, the Cucuteni Civilization Museum and the Academic Museum. The Civilization Museum of Cucuteni is arranged in a modern manner, and the Academic Museum holds a replica of the rector's office. We started touring the museum with the pots and finished with paintings full of personalities, documents and medals. Most of the space is dedicated to academic disciplines and scientific paths of flagship personalities. It is worth visiting if you are a passionate enthusiast and history.

What a surprise! We almost skipped this tiny museum, luckily our local guide took us there (though I believe it's closed on Mondays, we were lucky enough to get in). Fascinating exhibition of pottery from 5,000 BC, attesting how developed was the Cucuteni society to be able to burn clay at high temperatures. Information available in English. Well worth a visit, appropriate for children >8 yrs.

I couldn’t believe these museums were free! I only had time for the very well done exhibit of the Cucuteni civilization which was located near Iasi. There was a nice timeline, as well as a model of the various stages of the discovery. I am American and many things there are identical to Native American artifacts. Makes you wonder. There was an interesting room with a curtain so the room was dark with only the starry sky.

If you are interested in history then you can find here a lot of things. The museum is recently rehabilitated and looks very modern. The guide offers you information about WWII and Cucuteni Civilization which is more than 6000 years old.
