These tall Watch Towers offer a closer view of three of the Nazca Geoglyphs. They are located on the Pan-American Highway approximately 16 miles from the Nazca Airport.

The one we bought tickets for was 42 feet tall, and had 4 staircases to reach the top. The Nazca Lines that are impossible to see from the ground, became suddenly and clearly visible from the top. We could discern and identify two of the three lines – the Tree and the Hands. The third one – the Lizard – can only be seen on the top part, because the Highway cuts it in half. This one is truly long, and only a video can identify the entire design.

We are glad our tour guide stopped here. We loved the expansive views of the desert, plus read a lot of information on the large boards posted there.

A “Must Stop” for visitors to Nazca.

It is worth the stop in your car at this point. You can easily see some of the lines in the ground and make out the animal or design in the lines. There are a lot of steps to the top but it is worth it.

This is 6 soles entry to climb on the tower. We get to see three patterns. Beautiful mountain background. It was so interesting to see. It was a beautiful hot day so we had lovely views. It invokes thoughts about the ancient people that lived here.

Very nice view! It's worth the visit. Bring change of money, admission for each adult costs 6 Soles.

The tower shown here is the old one, now disused. The tour now takes you up a taller, better built tower that affords good views.

The picture showed here is very old. They have now built a new tower, a lot better than the old one. Even though you can only see a few lines from top, it is a nice view and wonderful to see the lines so close. If you are not overflying in one of the planes, you must go up the tower at least. Very cheap also

You have a great view of 3 of the lines, and its only s./4 for the tower and s./3 each way to catch a bus out there. makes seeing some of the cool history of the area possible for those of us who can't splurge on a flight!

We stopped for 15mins at the viewing tower as part of the Peru Hop bus to Arequipa from Huacachina. I would not recommend paying for the entry to the viewing tower; you can see three of the Nazca Lines, as advertised, but it’s a fairly underwhelming experience overall.
If you can deal with travel sickness and have the money for it the flight is apparently cool but (very) many throw up during the ride.

We originally stopped at about 5.15 but the queues were really busy and we would not have gone up the tower before sunset. So we came back very early the next day - it was worth it. There was no-one there apart from the security people. Not even the stall holders. It meant we could all go up the tower and no rush to come back down. The lines are amazing and you wonder why someone would build a road through one!! Worth the visit and cheap 3-4 sol depending on when you went. They are building another tower on the other side of the road which looks more substantial.

Pretty good view from the tower of 3 different lines. Unique in that you can see where the road cut the lizard in half
