The best way to learn about a place or people is by observation. Huaraz is a beautiful town with mountain views from every where you look. Every village and city in Peru has grown around a public square, following the Spanish model to develop cities, around it you can find the church, the government buidling and houses of the most prominent families. A classic plaza likes you can see many in Sud America. There is a quite interesting church on the edge.
