This place is horrible and the staff are very rude. Watch out they will scam you. The Waterfall and access to the river are closed but they don’t tell you. Additionally the place is disgusting. The pools are dirty and smell and there are bugs everywhere. They refuse to offer refunds as one of the 20 signs that they have hanging at the counter says no refunds. AVOID at all costs.

Disgusting...tubs were filthy and the next day I got a rash, (Dr. said it's common in dirty hot tubs) others reported the same, water was filthy. I never should have gone in. I would avoid this place 100%

I soaked for hours talking to locals and enjoying poolside beer delivery. I was the only Gringo, probably because of all the scary reviews about it being so dirty, but it didn't seem dirty to me. The locals say that tourists think it's dirty because of the naturally murky water colour. You will notice an in-flow of nice hot water if you put your foot at the bottom of the northeast corner of the hottest bath (3rd one). That makes me think maybe the water doesn't stagnate. I loved it and didn't get sick except minor hangover.

Bad experience, bad customer service. Unfriendly staff and Green water. It was bad looking in general. I wouldn’t recommend going.

We visited these thermal baths in October 2021 after completing the four day Inka Trail trek. They have several different pools with various temperatures hot and cold. Visitors are given around an hour window to visit the pools, and they hold your bags for free. The beers cost around ten soles, and they offer a variety of cocktails. The pools are decent, but would get overcrowded at times. The hottest pool wasn't that hot, so I wouldn't go into it with high expectations. For us, it was just right to relax the muscles after trekking.

Also, we recommend reserving a spot early, perhaps in the morning, for later in the day just to make sure you get to enter as it does sell it to both locals and tourists alike.

We stopped in at the Banos Termales in Aguas Calientes while visiting Machu Picchu and it was underwhelming. The pools had differing temperatures of water but only one pool was hot, most were just warm at best. The water was also green in color but didnt have any sulfur smell. There were a lot of people in the pools. It was definitely not a relaxing environment. They were also serving drinks at the pools and lots of children running around. We would not recommend going to these hot springs. It had the feel of a community pool more than natural springs.

Worse termal baths ever..... please do not waste your time, effort and money because this place is just disgusting... I honestly wanted to puke when i saw the colour of the water and the little pieces of dirt floating in it. When i tried to explain to the woman that charged me and my boyfriend 20 soles each that the water was disguisting and we didnt even get in if she could refund our money she calmly tried to explain that this is how mineral water looks like hahahaha worse explanation she could think of...

Everyone you are more likely to get a skin disease than a relaxing time in that place, take my advice and do something else instead, absolutely not worth it!

I felt like I had to experience this and glad I did, but it just seemed dirty and smelly once I was there. Not at all what I had imagined. I give it three stars instead of 2 because I'm a little bias when it comes to hot water, I can't take it for very long, clean or not. Anyway, we got lucky that there were only 3 other people at the whole place, we went at around 10am after we toured Machu Picchu.

My friend and I thought it was a good idea to go to the pools after hiking Wayna Picchu and Machu Picchu but I was disappointing. It honestly felt like a community pool and wasn't very clean or presentable. The water wasn't even hot enough and it had an awful color. We stayed there 15 minutes before closing and we saw them drain the water and scrub some parts of the pool which I thought was odd since its supposed to be natural spring water. I should have just taken a hot shower at the hotel instead.
