I went to Charco Verde on my final day in Ometepe. It is a very relaxing place to spend a couple of hours exploring. Near the entrance is a butterfly garden which is really beautiful- very good for photography too! After that their are a...More

Worth a half day here to hike the trail. Saw monkeys, birds and a lovely little beach. The butterfly garden was also nicely arranged and interesting.

The butterfly house here is very nicely done and is worth the visit in itself. We had a nice walk around the lagoon and saw interesting wildlife. Would visit again.

A small park on the coast centered around a lagoon. Some wild life -monkeys if you are lucky, lizards, birds, butterflies- as there is in most parts of the island, but here they built a shed with a money collector. Foreigners pay three times more...More

We rode out here on a rented quad and found it an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. It was quite inexpensive to enter the park. The first stop on the circuit was the butterfly farm which isn't large but was interesting. You...More
