It is a very nice route to Erg Chegaga through Draa Valley. Palm trees, alfalfa and water contribute to the waw feeling.

Very nice stop on our way to the deserts. This place is so unique, words can't describe it, neither photos... there is a nice cafe right on top of the canyon, so if you wish to stretch for a while from your long drive, then this is the right place.

The valley is like the garden of Eden with palm trees, almond and abrikot trees. A few hundred meters from the valley the desert starts. A few kilometers North of Zagora there is an ancient ksar with a very interesting museum about Berber life and traditions. Highly recommended. Further on the road there is Tamnougalt. You can visit the village... More

I visited this valley on an overnight tour from Marrakech to Zagora to stay in the Berber Zagora Desert Camp. The valley was beautiful. The date palms and irrigated fields along the river valley, with old adobe buildings blending with newer buildings painted in the adobe red colour, the mosque towers rising in each town. The bare mountains on either... More

I am a frequent visitor to the beautiful Draa Valley, in particular the village of Tamnougalt. For me it is one of the most magical places, with warm friendly people and staggering beauty, from the mountains of the Anti Atlas down to the river Draa the the gardens on its banks. If you love peace and quiet, long walks, art... More

Great day driving through the valley- love seeing the sun on the mountains- they say it is closest to Mars landscape- just beautiful and barren, interspersed by small oasis and palm tree farms. Be prepared to go off the beaten track to see the old parts of the towns as new parts all run alongside the main road.
