We drove to the Cascades on our way to Chefchaouen. For some reason we were under the impression that the hike was about 2 hours round trip (probably a misreading of the reviews) but it's actually about 2 hours each way. The trail we took is a bit strenuous, has a lot of up and down, coming and going from... More

This place is a paradise hidden in the mountains. Green water, unforgettable perfume and very friendly local people. There are several shops selling food and drinks even along the trails. There is no way to this ride go wrong. Trails level 2: some parts can be difficult for older people without a guide.

The river is spring fed and as cold as a ****** , we were there in August and it was refreshing for a hot day. The hike is exactly that, a hike but its fun. take a bathing suit and some water shoes so when you get to the place you want to go, get changed in the woods and... More

Caught a taxi from Chefchaouene Grand Taxi area. The cost is 150 MD, one way for the taxi. One can share the cost of the cab with other people, but, may have to wait until others arrive . A short walk from taxi drop off spot, you need to walk down the road. Some steps climbing before the track begins.... More

Not having a lot of time to spare, what with still needing to travel down to Fes, we opted just to hike to God's Bridge. The scenery is absolutely fantastic, and the walk well worth it. The walk is strenuous if you aren't used to hiking, but if you're fit, the return trip can fairly easily be done in 1hr... More

First of all, the hike is 2-3h depending on your fitness level and it took me longer as I'm not very fit. Secondly, don't pay too much for a taxi - just make sure you have at least 2 people to share the price. Going there cost my friend and I 90Dh in total (15Dh each if we had 6... More

This is a moderate hike that takes about 2 hours to reach the large waterfall. Along the way there are smaller waterfalls and areas where you can stop for refreshments. The large waterfall is very busy and the water did not seem very clean. There were a number of males swimming but was not conducive to females swimming the time... More

I needed to get there in the morning and not wanting to pay for a taxi alone, I ran to Akchour from Chefchaouen. I was therefore concerned with the distances, which are as follows: The Medina in Chefchaouen to the Akchour trailhead: 12 miles, all on gravel/hardball roads (I uploaded a picture of the route somewhere here) Trailhead to the...
