A maze to be explored in the BLUE city of Twin Peaks

Our Riad is a short walk out of town, quite high up with lots of steps. We took the walk down via many small lanes. Got lost and found our way again. It was a Saturday and the market was quit - so also the town. We walked and explored the artisan section as well as the waterfall. It is... More

Never seen a place like this - so charming and full of its own character! Every corner is Instagram / Pinterest worthy and it was so hard to find the 'most beautiful spot'! So glad that we made the trip to Chefchaouen!

Chefchaouen still has winding streets that have few tourists. Seek them out soon on a weekday. I have been going to Chefchaouen for days but this is the first time that I saw so many tourists. The Chinese are coming in such numbers that a Chinese restaurant with Chinese chefs has opened. It is well worth hiring a guide to... More

Blue everywhere. Certainly not like any place I have seen in the US. As compared to other cities in Morocco it is small, manageable, clean, and the people nice. Our guide Moustafa shared a great deal of information with us about his home.

Wow! The Blue City - hidden alleyways, painted steps, lots of charm. We wandered through the old city for three days, each day discovering a new art gallery, shop, or hidden cafe. We highly recommend taking a historic tour and learning about the Old City - it's a fascinating place with many stories to tell!

The good - Chefchaouen is a beautiful blue medina that was wonderful to explore and take pictures of. The riverside walk was very cool and a great place to hang out in the heat of the day. The surrounding area was fantastic with great hikes. The bad - really cheap crappy stuff for sale that looked like it was not... More

I had a blast just wandering the streets and taking photos! There are a lot of tourists, so you may want to wake up early if you want photos without people in them.

the locals are less aggressive compare to other Moroccan cities. You could find alcohols in high end restaurant by asking the hotels

Chefchaouen is lovely city with a lot of blue streets. Compared to other cities in Morocco it is small and very relaxed. Do not be surprised when people will offer you hashish. It is also good for shopping - all the items that I wanted were the cheapest here. A day and a half here would be just enough.

One of my best travel experiences. A wonderful old city with the most beautiful hand made crafts. The most gracious and friendly people. Avoid the headache of the larger cities in Morocco. This place is a true gem. They have preserved the true heart and soul of the old Morocco in this place.
