Dear Patsy, My daughter and I stayed at the Tarisa and I would certainly say that the rooms are of a decent size well maintained clean and comfortable. House keeping is done daily and every thing worked. The staff are courteous attentive and aim to please. I think that this is a 3 star hotel and in our opinion certainly value for money as far as quality of accommodation and food are concerned.The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel which is a public beach but hotel guests can use the hotel's beach chairs & go kayaking .The water is clear and inviting but I did not really swim just wet my feet. The sea seems to be eroding the beachside which is sad. All things considered I would certainly recommend Tarisa. Take note that like most beach front hotels this hotel is not near a shopping centre etc. The nearest shopping area is a 6 to 10 minute uber ride away. There is a local bus but we did not use it. Hi Patsy, we were in Mauritius in January when it is very hot & humid with some rain. I believe it is slightly cooler & dryer in September? Mont Choisy beach is a public beach which gets busy at the weekend as the locals all come down and have big family picnics. The water is lovely and warm, there is a bit of coral on the shore and hardly any weed. You can usually avoid both by moving along the beach a little. I can’t comment about the hotel or their loungers as we were self catering in an apartment. Have a fabulous time, I hope the above helps?

THere is no charge to go on the beach,it is just across the road. there is lots of ,all the entertainment is free.I really enjoyed it.

Difficile à dire; prix très variables selon la saison, le nombre de jours de location... Et l'honneteté du loueur ! Arrivez tôt ( vers 8H30 le matin ), ne vous arrêtez pas au premier et négociez; surtout si c'est pour plusieurs jours d'affilée ...

Just came back stayed first 2 weeks in November swam in sea most days and did not come across any jelly fish. Lots of locals use beach on weekends and they did not seam to have any issues with swimming in sea, hope this helps

Bonjour, bien sûr qu'il faut y aller pied nus... Ça serait dommage de ne pas fouler ce sable très particulier ! Par contre, pour ne pas avoir fait toutes les plages je ne peux pas vous dire si on peut se baigner partout... Mais vu que la barrière fait tout le tour, je présume que oui !!!!
