Coral on the dive site mostly dead and not been take care by snorkeler or diver. Need to improve on awareness how to take care all the coral when diving or snorkeling. Some of the boatman or guide in Redang also step on the coral like there is no problem for them.

Used to be quieter... now just full of tourists and cruise ships sometimes... still beautiful beach, but plenty smaller islands offer more quieter spot and sparkling blue beaches.

Redang Island is another hidden gem off the east coast of Malaysia, about 40 kilometres from Kuala Terengganu. Getting there by flying to Kuala Terengganu from KLIA, taxi to Shahbandar jetty then a ferry to the island, is half the fun. Once there you encounter an island which is practically unknown to most western tourists although many Singaporeans know it... More

Redang is an beautiful island off the East coast of Malaysia. There are ferries available from Merang or KT jetty - you could check with your hotel regarding the ferry. The white sand beaches are mind blowing and pictures are just like in picture post cards !! A must see for anyone visiting Malaysia !! But note that the island... More

The access jetty of the island seems little crowded during the peak season. However once we had stepped into our hotel we were away from all the crowds and noises. The island offers beaches with powdery white sands at different locations. Snorkeling sites are also beautiful and easy even for the first timers. Overall its a beautiful island. Highly recommended... More

Redang still maintains its charm as a serene, beautiful coral island in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. I've visited Redang 4 times for the last 20 years...not that often...ya. Stay in 3 different resorts. All resorts are quite nice but don't expect good service. Just stay away, and I mean "stay away" from one called Redang Holiday Villa Resort... More
