I drove out to Luak Esplanade.
The area was a bit run down & not particularly clean.
I had been advised not to swim here as it was a bit too close to the town!
It was pleasant enough for a walk along the beach & to have a picnic.
Nearby parking was easy.

Came here in the evening (7:00 p.m-) for a walk. The wind was very strong. Used to come here a lot more with my sisters to build sandcastles and play in the water. The beach is quite clean. Lots of musak.

Jalan Bakam which is the coast road from town centre south.
Signposted when near.
A series of car parks parallel to the beach.
It the has easy access to long beachs with views across Luak Bay.
The car parks can become full with hawker stalls selling all manner of local foods.
It gets very busy at weekends, especially sunday afternoon until sunset.
It is spoiled by piles of rubbish near the exit end of the car parks.
Some debris on the beach especially after storms.
TOP TIP:Go in the morning and you will have the beach to yourself.

Not too crowded and the beach was really clean. Not too far from the main town area. Pretty good place for an evening stroll

We took a drive to Miri Esplanade...it was just 8 minutes drive from town center. Ate pizza & walk along the shore...there are sufficient restaurants & asian food stalls so no one gets hungry! The day was calm...so is the sunset...good stroll for family!

This beach is a pristine beach with one of the best sceneries on earth. It is a good chill out spot in the evening with family and friends.
Do not miss out the sunset at this area, around 6.30pm. Good place to unwind!

Went to Luak Esplanade to try out one of the stalls selling restaurant cook food. Surprisingly good. Had Tomyam fish, fried sweet potato leaves, Oats prawns & white rice. I like the uncrowded atmosphere though I think the hawkers are NOT doing well. Too little customers. Went for dinner only.

Nice place to relax and bring family to picnic. But the food stall not very satisfied. All stall almost sell the same food and some of the staff not friendly. Need to call their 2-3 times if you want to buy food. The cleanliness very poor. But the beach and the side walk very beautiful.

Nice wide uncrowded beach. A good place to relax and have fun with family and friends. There are also stalls selling local foods.

Nice wide beach with almost no people (Sunday before noon). Before you go make sure to bring something for sand flies.
