Dive the World makes no attempt to hide the fact that the Celebes Explorer is rundown. We knew this going in and had fair warning. We lucked out because the boat only had 6 divers when we went, whereas capacity is 14. With 6 divers,...More

A lot of marine life. Many sharks and turtles. Full of group fishes such as Jack fishes, Baracudas, Bat fishes, Napoleon fishes and Bump head parrot fishes. I will definitely recommend this place.

Thanks Sam B. Glad to hear you enjoyed the experience of Sipadan on the Celebes Explorer. Am pleased you went with low expectations of the 'luxury' level of the boat! I can point to your review next time we have a customer who didn't read...More

I don't want to penalize Dive the world here - they were helpful and straightforward in booking the Celebes Explorer. So I've given them 4 stars. And Sipadan diving is great. But I would give the Celebes Explorer 1 star if it were listed. It's...More

Yep that's the Celebes Explorer. Keeps getting business because people love the frequency of diving Sipadan that it delivers. But it is a bit of a stinker. We make that abundantly clear in all our descriptions. We are a little compromised in selling it but...More

Glad the diving was amazing. As we often repeat on Tripadvisor the Celebes Explorer is a strange one. Some people are very happy with it as a choice, others come off it with nothing but complaints. In fact this is the opening line of our...More
