Took a short drive from neighbouring seremban and ended up here on a weekend.
It was clean and at atmospheric
I have missed the smell, sights and the feel of being in the great outdoors and this place was the perfect gate back into nature
Took a short walk till the snake farm, opting to leave our car behind at the entrance
The guard at the sentinel post was friendly and helpful
For no fees whatsoever, the snake farm was well kept and informative
Noticed there were chalets but they seemed a little rundown from the outside
Cant comment on the inside though
Still lots left to explore

The Ulu Bendul Recreational Park is located between Seremban and Kuala Pilah. It is visible from the main road. There is a city liner bus that ply between Seremban Bus Terminal One (located at Sungai Ujong) and Kuala Pilah or Bahau. The bus fare cost RM4 and the park is very visible along the main road where the bus ply between the two towns. It took about half an hour journey by bus to reach the destination from Seremban.

My mother in law resides at Kuala Pilah and each time I took the bus from Seremban, I will see this recreational park. In terms of attractions, there is not much to see in Kuala Pilah. This recreational park seem to be a good weekend picnic spot for locals. I visited this park about 20 years ago. I remember my sister in law brought my family to this place. At that time, my children were still very young and I vividly remember the water flowing down from the mountain was cold, refreshing and crystal clear. You can even see some fishes swimming in the meandering stream.

However, I revisited this recreational park this Chinese New Year 2018 and was shocked to see the water became so muddy brown. The swimming pool that was located near the entrance of the park was filled with brownish water apparently much mud or sand has dissolved in the water. I am not sure if there is any soil erosion at the upper level of the mountain that resulted in the `contaminated' water.

Nevertheless, I could still see many locals happily enjoying themselves in this natural setting during this festive day of the Chinese New Year. Unlike 20 years ago, there is this building with some food stalls built near the entrance where the visitors could have their meals after their picnic.

Other than the stream and boulder rocks studded along the stream, I do not find anything extraordinary of this attraction. I would think twice swimming in the `muddy' pool or dipped my feet in the stream which I would do twenty years ago. Anyway, the surrounding setting is natural and I would suggest taking your time to walk around and appreciate the greenery and enjoy the fresh air.

Is a big disappointment to see this Recreational Park not maintained - rubbish strewn all over, garbage not collected and the public toilet is just horrible. A word of caution; a few hooligans around to give wolf whistles to ladies who are here. So it is advisable not to be there alone. Be careful of your wallets and personal belonging - you can be target to snatch thieves.

Located not very far from Seremban, this natural park has a lot of potential to be very much better if there's more upkeep and maintenance.
Ample free parking lots available.
There's a big pond but fishing is not allowed.
The waterfall stream has very clear water flowing through it and should be fun for a dip.
The Snake Garden has a few snakes including an Anaconda, and also some birds.
There's a swimming pool that seems to have the natural stream running through it but the facility seems rather run down. Needless to say, there are no life guards around.

This is a park that has water splash for kids and small snake collections and birds. If you are interested in hiking you have to go between 6:30 -9:30 am to get permit.

We decided to explore this place as it was on our way back from Bahau. It was unplanned visit.
The parking is free (yeayyy!!!) and they have a Snake Garden here as well. Not very well maintained though. You have to walk a little uphill to reach this place but it's manageable. There is only less than 6 snakes here and the best attraction is an ANACONDA!!!! It was quite huge. Other than that, there is a small hanging bridge.

Downwards, there is a waterfall with clean water flowing nicely. Nice place to dip your legs and relax or to bring your kids for a swim.
