Very pleasant trip to Mzima springs. Nice walk and visit to hyppos, beautiful nature. Trees provide you with a shade even in very hot temperatures.

Visit here to see where the local Hippos all hang out, a quick 30 minute walk around assisted by the local ranger was worth it. You can see the Hippos and Crocs up close. Advise a visit in the morning sun when they Hippos are basking in the warm sunshine. Along the path is an underwater viewing platform and if... More

Spent an hour as Mzima springs, the location is beautiful with a path to follow that will take you along the waters edge. There is a viewing area built that lets you sit and watch whats happening under the water. There were plenty of fish and hippo to see. Well worth a visit if you're in Tsavo West.

A nice place full of animals. Green oasis where you can get a little tour by a friendly guard. The lake is home of hippo's and crocodiles.

A nice respite to bumping around the inside of a kombi van on African roads. A short walk takes you to the spring , the lake , a viewing area and hopefully sighting of hippo and crocs.

Well worth a visit if you're nearby. We found the guides to be helpful and knowledgeable, and it was really refreshing in the heat of Tsavo!

This is worth seeing, but it won't totally blow you away. We saw some hippos and a crocodile. Interesting to hear how the water flows from here, all the way to Mombasa.
