Beautiful scenery at the northernmost point on the coast of Israel, just before the Lebanese border. Suggest you to go there early to avoid the masses, as the little cable car that will get you down has quite limited capacity.

They are nice to see and it was cool to walk around. The only way to go is to take the cable car down which is about $15 per person. It is a very short ride, it only goes down a few stories.

An amazing place, so special. The water has a turquoise color.
Not a long walk, but plenty of places to take beautiful pictures.

I wanted to review the kayaking Rosh HaNikra, but they don't have a listing on TripAdvisor, but we saw the grottoes via kayak, and that is an incredible way to enjoy this site. We used ראש-הנקרה ימיה - קיאקי ראש הנקרה but other operators also do the grottoes. In addition, we enjoyed the cable cars and the movie set in the blocked off train tunnel, which has its own interesting history. Aside from the extreme crowds of summer vacation (which made our visit 4 hours long instead of an hour and a half), we had a great time and enjoyed spectacular views. There is also an option to rent golf carts and go on a path along the coast, which was a great way for our daughter and son-in-law to take a relaxing ride with their 16 month old baby. If you go there on a vacation day, get there early, or else prepare to wait in the heat.

Never get enough of the grottos. Probably have been here ten times over the last forty years. Great families, great for adults.

We stopped off here for the morning on a day with intermittent rain and everyone enjoyed it. The grottoes are covered so we were dry from the rain but the sea was rough so the water was harsh within the caves. The cable car was fun and the view from the top is amazing. A lot of fun and an interesting history as it is the border.

I’d give this sight a 3.5 after six months of touring Israel. It’s a good site.

Awesome time, kids loved the short but steep cable car ride, 10 min movie in the cavern was great explanation (had in English version) and the cave walk through was very easy and well maintained. We went just after a storm so it wasn’t so clear and the water wasn’t the blue green as when it’s clear but it was still Well worth it. This isn’t worth burning precious time if you are only in Israel for a couple days but if you have additional time it’s worth it!

Believe prices were Adults (48 NIS) Kids 3-18 (25 NIS) and 0-2 Free

We did not ride the bikes, golf carts or take a guided tour and it was still nice.

This is one of the most specular things I saw on a 10-day trip in Israel, but unfortunately even those who make it to Rosh Hanikra miss this gem: there is a cable car that descends from the top of the cliff. It is a very short one, but those who are afraid of heights (about half the people who go here) are taken by surprise and end up sitting this out.

Those who are afraid of heights and can take a few deep breaths for about 1 minute should make this trip. It's worth it. If not, it's best to skip this attraction.

Rosh Hanikra is an incredible geological creation at the farthest point north on Israel’s Mediterranean Coastline, a continuous love story between the sea and the mountain.
