Mount Batur- the active volcano mountain stands as the crown of Bali. You may hike through it or ride over and halt at any of the restaurants since many of them offer great food and scenic views of Mount Batur. Must visit in Bali. If you have day out for Kintamani, go hiking or opt for hot springs near Lake... More

We did trek to volcano batur few days ago. Picked up early 1.30am in Kuta, it was such a lazy time but once arrived at the summit beautiful landscape welcomed from all sides. It will be great idea to check weather forecast due to rainy season recently. We contacted Gede for the tour and he is extremly accomodating. Prepared everything... More

It was a good drive from Kuta, we had booked a driver and a car. He took us around other different places like Ubud,rice-farm, monkey forest etc. Reaching Kintamani and watching this volcanic mountain was a worth spending a day on drive. It is good for one time visit.

The best location for trekking Mt Batur is Kintamani. We stayed at Mapa Lake View Bungalow and the owner arrange a guide for us. The guide picked us up at 3:30 am. It took us nearly two hours to get to the top. It is very steep and rocky path. I would say this trek is a moderate physical activity.... More

There are two main routes up the volcano, one is crowded and small path ( my first time climbing) and for this time I went through Toya Bungkah base point which is much less crowded. We had Gede (His WhatsApp +6283115143327), who suggested to go through Toya Bungkah. He organized from hotel pick up till drop off. We were equipped... More

Wow!!! What a great experience. The bus picked us up at 1:30am from Seminyak, it was quite, air conditioned, comfortable and dark so we got an extra hour of sleep on the way. When we got there we were met by Wynan who spoke decent English, he told us to make sure we went to the bathroom as there would... More

We signed up for mount batur trekking on December last months. We contacted BATUR VOLCANO HIKE COM for exclusive tour with most reasonable price. Make sure you use good hiking shoes and pole. We got gear from the company we used. We went through Toya Bungkah which was not too crowded but once arrived at the summit we met with... More

Would this scenery have been I Switzerland or any other country with many mountains, you would just confirm that you'd seen another big thing and then moved on. However, here in Bali there aren't that many big things, so mount Batur stands out. I wouldn't go all the way up there to see it, but if you're already nearby it's... More

Mt Kintamani/Mt Batur, it meant one and the same. At 1717m, it proved to be a mighty trek, which is (now I know), not for the weak hearted! It was easy going at first, but gets progressively tougher as the steep incline, loose rocks and soil zap your energy. But everyone was understanding and accommodating, especially our lady guide, to... More
