Pura Ulun Danu Batur, a temple dedicated to the goddess of the lake -Ida Batari Dewi Ulun Danu on the edge of a huge crater. The dominant shrines are Meru's (pagodas) dedicated to the lake goddess and the gods of Mt. Batur and Mt Gunung Agung, the largest volcano in Bali. Pura Penataran Agung Batur is the principal temple, with five main courtyards. The dominant shrines are the merus: an 11 tiered one for the lake goddess and three 9 tiered ones for the gods of Mt Batur, Mt Agung, and Ida Batara Dalem Baturenggong, the deified king of Gelgel who is said to have ruled from 1460 to 1550.

It's a beautiful temple in Kintamani highland with great view of lake Batur and Mount Batur.It's a perfect example of traditional Balinese architecture.one must enter the temple wearing sarung.Entrance fee is quite high.Many local restaurants are nearby.Parking is available.

낀따마니 가는 길에 들른 곳입니다. 밖에서 보기에 멋져보여 들어가려니 입장료가 35,000루피아더군요. 거기까진 좋습니다. 티켓 창구 바로 옆에서 사원 들어가려면 사롱을 반드시 입어야한다며 별도로 빌리는데 30,000루피아를 달라고 하네요. 입장료가 3만 5천인데, 사롱 대여가 3만이라니... 브사키 사원이나 띠르따 앰플은 입장료에 시롱 대여도 다 포함인데 이건 좀 너무하다...More

The place was crowded with tourists and many street vendors were trying to sell us flower hair pin and toys. But they don't pester you to buy from them so no worries.

We went to this temple in the evening. It was quite chilly and pleasant. We paid the entrance fee only for two adults, the child was allowed for free. Scenic view of this particular temple is very good.
