I came to Banjarmasin for weekend trip. So, Pasar Apung is one attract thing place must to come. Woke up early morning, before sun shines, and rent a kelotok, and see so many great women who sell veggies and fruits. I love this moment.

Boat ride was cheap, chosen the open boat ride for an uninterrupted view of the scenic river. Just pray for no rain. Got to taste delicious local kuihs, love them, fresh and warm. The locals were so generous and welcoming. A must experience when you are in Banjarmasin. 👍👍👍

It's the number one thing to do when visiting Banjarmasin. But to experience it, we have to wake very early in the morning, around 4 am. I asked the hotel to arrange it. The hotel driver took me to a small pier and there was a boat ready to take me to the Floating Market. We reached the market still... More

There are many piers to go to floating market like at hotel swissbel, hotel victoria, around Sabilal Mosque or Sultan Suriansyah Mosque. Kuin floating market is the nearest from Banjarmasin and we can see some monkey in pulau Kembang but I recommend to go to Lok Baintan floating market. More attractive and natural. You can find some exotic local fruit... More

It's a great thing to have such a unique culture, traditional touch and exotics people. Pasar terapung supposed to be one of it, but people start forgetting what is the important thing to do, to take care and to maintained. A lot of things to be fixed. So sad to see the condition of their boat, the fruits and veggies... More

Our guide, Mulyadi Yasin (perfect guide, you find his name in the lonely planet) took us with a boat to this floating market. We were lucky because there were a lot of boats this time. We enjoyed it a lot to see what's going on on this market, watch the people, all the colours, the fruits and vegetables. It was... More

This is one out of three floating markets in Banjarmasin. Go before the dawn cracks. Market only last from 5-8 AM. To get here, we need to charter a boat for going around the market coz there is no water bus. Boat can take up to 20 ppl. Can be done onsite or from nearest dock from your hotel. Best... More
