I played the A+B course and thought it was overpriced considering course A felt like an executive course - it’s essentially 200-220 off ever hole before reaching a water hazard except on the par 3s and one par 5. Everything is in good condition and the caddie was decent although no english which was absolutely acceptable. The caddie did however seem disappointed by a 500k tip despite the course recommendation of 300k - she wasn’t t reading my putts or giving yardage (range finder) and we made it around in 2.5 hrs (solo 6am tee time) so I’m not sure what the standard should be or if they need to revise their recommendation.

Overall, it’s certainly not worth the drive from HCMC to play but it’s worth one round if your staying in Vung Tau.

If you wanna be familiar with heavy russian made MI -8 COPTER Sound, this is your course.
Copters get up every 3 minutes and sometimes they came very down to look people on the green.
Personell is not educated, they do not speak english ( caddies) . But they want lot of tip.
This is far more expensive as golffing in Thailand.
There is lot of people working in the course, and the have golf cars. They drive all the time here and there and they do not mind players. Maybe because there is so few .. So empty golf course disturbed by MI-8 copters and busy personel, who drive here and there...

It's the best golf course in Vung Tau because it's the only course in Vung Tau. It's a great course but gets very crowded on the weekend.

I have lived in Vung Tau city for seven years and I have played the course about once a week. It´s a very quiet course. You don´t need to book a teetime. The course is not in the best condition and it has never been. It is probably because of that and the high greenfee they don´t reach many golfers.

Normally I play alone because here is not so many to play with.
And then, all of a sudden, they don´t allow you to play alone. God knows why. It´s not Augusta international we are talking about. It´s almost impossible to find someone to play with out there because there is nobody. Sit and wait for somebody to show up, no thank you. And by the way this policy covers all days in the week, not only weekends.

It seemes like they think they have a PGA course or something. Maybe they are just waiting to be the host of the first Tjernobyl open.

Shame on you I say.

But there is a great 36 holes course just between Saigon and Vung Tau (Long Than).
I can assure everyone that you will get a lot more value for the money there. Nearly the same price but ten times better everything.

If one is not welcome, one is not.

I have been playing this course since 2009, and at times it has nearly been half decent, but at the moment it seems blind pew, or Basil Fawlty is in charge of maintenance. B course was closed for two weeks, and they absolutely decimated the greens, concrete like with tracks and the ball actually rattles as it zigzags its way in the general direction of the pin, the grass around the green is the same as always, land an inch short, kills it stone dead, but now if you land on the brown, concrete, sorry green, it now shoots up a puff of sand and runs off the green or takes off in any direction defendant on what rut in lands in. Totally clueless at booking tee times, so you can turn up and there can be six groups (flights) on A, B, and C. Their specialty is digging up the middle of the fairway, and moving it either to somebodies front garden, or the remotest part of the course where no golfer ever ventures. so if you stiff a drive down the middle, knock 70 yards off it. no competition, if there was, this course would be empty, ONE GOOD POINT IS THE CADDIES, they are brilliant, the best in Vietnam on the worst golf course in Vietnam.
I love Vung Tau and Vietnam, please please somebody buy this building site and make it a golf course. We play it because nearest course is an hour away, if you do play it, grit your teeth, play pick and place, you cant play stableford on here because the scorecard only rates each nine hole card separately, !!
I could go on and on, but am playing it tomorrow, and don't want to be found hanging from the roof beam in the morning !!

Average course. Seriously needs some competion. Only golf course with 1 1/2 hours of Vung Tau. There seems to be work going on in every hole planned. poorly maintained

Our group of 3 played this course today (A and B) the conditions of the fairways and greens are much better than many previous reviews suggest. Overall a good fun course to play.

Dreadful service and a poorly run and expensive course. No marshals and no course management, overrun with guests who shouldn't be allowed on any course, unfamiliar and unwilling to observe golf etiquette and rules.

Poorly maintained, badly run although despite this it keeps on going as there's no where else close as an alternative. Course maintenance is always poorly planned. Try and get a cold beer on the course, how hard can it be to buy some ice and fill a polystyrene box with some cans of beer? Club house food, I almost forgot, don't eat there...
