Located next to Ninh Kiều Whalf, so the view and atmosphere was really fresh. You can buy some handmade products with reasonable price. The local people was nice and friendly!

This is an obvious tourist trap. I would go here at night to taste all the street foods stands. Cheap foods and delicious. The night market is wonderful. There are students who volunteer as English guide for free. You can sit next to the food stands and eat. Be careful with your pocket. Strongly recommended.

We visited this market on Tuesday evening 8th January it is an indoor market which is situated along the Ninh Kiều Wharf on the riverside. It is also known as the Can Tho Ancient Market.
At night time it the outline of the building is lit up by lots of small lights, very effective, in fairness it looks more impressive by night than during the day. Found the building more interesting than the contents inside.
There was a restaurant in the market.
Some of the stalls have a fixed price others the prices were bartered, this was definitely a market for tourists. The stalls were piled with all sorts of clothing and souvenir items.
The street night market is located almost across the road from here, which was more lively and interesting.
Worth a visit if nearby, would not make a special visit.

Well, I can't disagree with those who found it a tourist trap. However, my wife is VN, and she was offered prices on some things way below what was marked. The shop owners were friendly, and the shopping was not as crowded as you'd find in Ho Chi Minh city at Ben Thanh, for instance. (It's much much smaller than Saigon's famous market.)
That said, we found excellent deals on some shirts and dresses for family and kids, and for my wife as well. If you are overwhelmed by large crowds, this would be a nice shopping experience - you get the feel for how it's done without feeling too pressured.
The first shop we were at even included some small gifts for free after we bought several shirts and dresses. (Nothing was over $7 US in the shop, and some items were even less. In the US the shirts would be 2-3x higher. These were good quality as well, not thin, cheap shirts you might find at some places.)
There is also a restaurant attached where you could eat with a view of the river. Since it was hot out, we chose to head back to the hotel.

This market is small, nothing compared to the Hanoi night market or the Ben Thanh night market in HCM. Just one short street of clothing stalls and the next street 24 food stalls. However 2-3 blocks away while walking back to my hotel, I found 2 streets full of local young Viet, eating delicious Viet food at these restaurants. Lining these 2 streets. I forgot to get the names of these 2streets.

This is a very touristy market, aimed at gullible tourists. Although the prices were better as compared to the tourist markets in Ho Chi Minh.

This riverside covered market from the 1930’s has remained a hub of Can Tho’s commercial activity. The restaurant (Sao Hom ) and rag trade occupying the space cater obviously to tourists, but in the streets nearby you’ll find a very popular night market with a great variety of food stalls, as well as the usual huge array of garments and t-shirts.

The prices actually are not too bad compared to other shops in Can Tho. All sorts of souvenirs and clothing are available in one location which makes it easy to complete your shopping in one spot.
