I've seen better. Especially talking about the interior. The courtyard is superb though. And the facade too. Mihrab was disappointingly kitschy

I really loved this mosque. It is part of an ensemble which also consists of two Madrasas, the Miri-Arab and Amir- Alimkhan and also the Kalyan minaret.
It dates from the 12th century though most of its current form dates from the 16th century.
Architecturally it is beautiful and has a wonderful courtyard inside. The colours and designs of the tiles are really stunning.
There is a small entrance fee to enter the mosque and head scarves are provided, although this was not particularly enforced. The gentlemen on the ticket desk seemed fairly laid back in respect of what the visitors were wearing.
The mosque also provides some wonderful photo opportunities.

The Poi Kalyan Mosque doesn’t have quite the same razzle dazzle as do many of the structures in Samarkand, but there’s certainly beauty in its relative simplicity.

This is the most impressive mosque in Bukhara. When I went they were doing repairs inside, so I could only see it from the outside.

For a mighty 5,000 Som you can visit the mosque.

The architecture is amazing, the attention to detail is stunning.

When I went the staff were pretty laid back about visitors having to wear the "right" clothing. Our of respect I asked if my shorts were okay and was told no problem!

This mosque from the 5th century was reconstructed in the 16th century. Amazing arches and an ornate entrance are a sight to behold.

The most impressive structure in Bukhara with beautiful blue tiles. The whole complex gets lit up at night and is a must visit site in Bukhara. Huge courtyard, a blue dome and beautiful iwan and muqarnas are the highlight of this architectural marvel.

Absolutely beguiling Mosque complex, one of the most jaw dropping of the very many stunning sights in Bukhara.
The inner courtyard is amazing with the intricate majolica and arches.
A very serene and peaceful place I must say.

Beautiful and huge mosque in a large complex, including a massive open courtyard. When I visited in Oct '22, there were extensive renovations going on, which spoils both experience and photography, but I understand these things must happen at some time. The walls and portals/iwans are covered with majolica and blue/white ceramic tiles and mosaics in the Timurid style.
