Popular place amongst the local people and tourists alike.

A very pleasant place to just relax and watch local people enjoy the ambience of the place. I saw few weddings being celebrated here. the place is also nicely lit up at night.

We had lunch there and were captivated by the outlook. It is right in the centre of Old Bukhara and so very easy to get to. Sitting back and having lunch with such beautiful views. If you go there say Hi to my friend! He loves lamb

A must see, because of it's historical importance as a central gathering point and source of water. It is also very pleasant to sit down beside and have a pot of refreshing local tea from the tea stall. Other than that it has been a bit commercialised with wooden camels and restuarants around it, and really is not that scenic.

You must visit this place but not primarily because its resturant and parc but for all the buildings sorrounding it - madrasse, caravansarays and mosques. So visit all (even some hotels nearby are former madrasses and some shops are former caravansarays) Have a guide. There are also a lot of restaurants and coffe shops around the place.

We understood that most hotels in Uzbekistan are very basic. If you are lucky you get a clean room and some service, the air conditioning, room service, toiletries in the bathroom, furniture...None of these 'given' amenities can be taken for granted. The Lyabi Hauz was the pitts. First of all it is in an alley, the vehicle gets parked on... More

There is no one who haven't heard about this place before coming to Buhara. The water pool and old trees represent the ancient times and you feel the touch of history. One of the 1st monuments that is must to visit in Buhara.

This plaza is located in the heart of the old town. It has the feel of a true oasis in an oasis town. It is a great place to meet friends, to eat, to drink and to relax in the shade. The atmosphere is cooled by the long rectangular reflecting pool that makes up the center of the plaza and... More

Lovely little pool in the middle of the old town. Great for people watching (e.g. newly-wed couples), stunning architecture and shady trees around. It doesn't get much more picturesque than this (if it weren't for the many tourists...).

This square is in the old town of Bukhara, next to the some of the most interesting places of the city. Has one of the only two pools that was kept in the town. With some nice restaurants around, as well an ice cream parlour (with nice expresso black coffee, as we Portuguese people loves!). A lot of shops around.

I recommend a morning walk here and then come back and watch the life in the early evening. I was lucky enough to be here on the 25th year of celebration of the independent and they had a real family oriented party.
