A really impressive volcano, it can be seen from miles around and the climb does not disappoint. Unfortunately we set out late (9am) and did not have time to reach the top, so I would recommend to climbers in the future to set off as early as possible in order to maximise your chances! It's at least a 9 hour... More

This one's pretty good. Before going make sure that the weather is good, or else this is going to be hell. The climb is pretty steep, and muddy trails would be really hard. even when they're not muddy, it's not to easy. at 60$ pp. the value is good, you get to see differnet types of vegetation and experience the... different vegetation zones, golden monkeys viewed and mountain gorilla enjoying their habitats, the different climatic zones and the beautiful view of the crater lake

Climbing mt muhavura was a mixed day. I went solo and with a young ranger. We began the climb at 730 and by 10 we had reached the misty covered summit. The small lake in the centre was covered in cloud but it was an easy walk to the other side and into Rwanda. The path was reasonably steep but... More

This is a very challenging one day hike as the trail is very steep and depending on the season the weather conditions can seriously affect your experience. The altitude sickness is not a joke and should be taken seriously. You are ascending way over 3000m in one day and the low atmospheric pressure at the top can easily knock you... More
