The Royal Palace is in the centre of old Sukothai. This is a large site covering around 160,000 square meters containing two main compounds and completely surrounded by a water moat.

Located near the monument of the king, this wat has no key feature that I could write about. There are no buddhas, stupas, columns at this wat. I did not bother taking any pictures and went back to the meeting place with my tuktuk driver to proceed with our visit of other wats.

Located to the north of WAt Mahathat is Wat Mai,it has a brick viham as the main sanctuary, and is in Ayutthaya style, a bronze image of the Buddha under a Naga was found here and is now preserved in the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum located close by to the temple

Kind of off the main path and without much to see, there isn't anything to make this temple ruin stand out. That being said, it is included in the price of admission to Sukhothai Historical Park so you may as well stop by and see it once you have paid the entrance fee.
