This is an experience you must have in life. Katherine's compassion oozes out and is contagious to all who volunteer at BLES. The rooms are lovely and clean, water is included, cold water only but it is so hot that it is refreshing. The cuisine is amazing and we took a cooking course as well that was absolutely joyful and... More

It wa a privilege to stay at this wonderful place. The elephant sanctuary is just that, a sanctuary for elephants, dogs, cats and other animals it's not a hotel. During our week long visit we spent about 3 hours each morning walking through e local countryside with up to 14 elephants, the mahouts and Katherine, who could tell us all... More

I arrived at the elephant park by mistake so stopped to have a look. The park is well organised with shops and cafes and the elephants are well looked after.

It was a true honor to spend seven days at BLES this past January. After two years in the planning, it was everything I had hoped for and more. First of all, the accommodation was great. I loved the privacy of my hut. Tucked away from the others, it was wonderful to sit on the porch and listen to the... More

My daughter and I stayed at BLES for 4 days/3 nights in Dec 2016. Leaving the eles, Kathryn, David, the mahouts and other animals was hard. We could easily have stayed much longer. The dedication and love everyone at BLES has for the elephants and other animals is amazing. Walking and watching the elephants is a great experience. The Gossip... More

I booked my visit to BLES 18 months in advance and it was worth the wait in every way. Yes, you sometimes have to wait a long time for an email response, but Katherine is incredibly busy and the internet is sometimes only available at the local village. Be patient and you will get your answer! This is a unique... More

I planned to visit this place for 2 years. I got the booking I wanted for my 60th birthday. Katherine and David run this sanctuary with so much love. They take in and recover sick and traumatised elephants from previous harsh working lives. If you are wanting elephant rides and other entertainment then this place is not for you. The... More

It is hard to find words to describe this trip. We only had 24 hours here but it was truly a dream come true!! David showed us around and is so fun of information and true love for animals. He has an amazing soul and we will forever be changed by meeting him. We didn't get much time with Katherine... More

I have been reading the reviews of Boon Lott's Elephant Sanctuary for a couple of years but now I get to write my own. I spent 4 nights there in August and within days of returning home I had emailed Katherine asking "when can I come back?" I'm now in the process of booking a week-long trip in January 2018... More
