Sa Nang Manora (Sra Nang Manora) is a forest park in Khao Thoi-Nang Hong Forest, about 4 km north of Phang Nga town. It was established on 1980. The park is mostly plain with few hills and the Sa Nang Manora waterfall.
In my way to Phang Nga , I had a stop in Sa Nang Manora Forest Park to check out the park and its natural trail. But I only wanted to have a short visit. So I parked the car and I went to the park's entrance and I stated to search. There were some ponds and little pools for swimming or bathing and some families had come for picnic. There was a pleasant atmosphere there and it was convenient for families.
I was walking around when I accidentally found myself in the beginning of the trail. I found it very interesting and somehow mysterious. I asked a tourist about the trail and he told me that "until the second station, it's easy and after that it becomes harder". The statement motivated me to continue the trail, after a while I arrived to the first station "Palm" and after that I got to the second station which was "Water Cave" and I stayed there 2 minutes. The next 8 stations were: Limestone(3), Giant tree(4), Poisonous(5), Shell Cave(6), Fishes Cave(7), Ginger Plant(8), Rock Forest(9) and the Bat Cave(10).
The trail was 2 Kilometers long and it took me about 45 minutes to get to the final station. It was not a hard trail and not that easy, it's better to wear suitable shoes for walking. It was really a unique experience and I walked and jumped over sand, grass, mud, marshy ground, water, tree's branch, stones and rocks to get to the destination. The trail was very quiet and I saw only 4 people during my hike. At the finishing point I found a danger sign which banned me for going further it was written: "Should go back the same route". I found also an amazing cave there. Inside the cave was almost dark and it gave me a winner's feeling and it gave me a lot of energy for the return. On my way back, I saw no one and I passed the trail very quickly and I got to the starting point in less than 30 minutes, it was a perfect hike and I like to repeat the adventurous tropical hike one more time.

There are not many nature attractions In Thailand where there’s no entry fee so we were very surprised when we arrived to be told that entry was free.
There’s a large car park and the forest park is well signed from the main road.
It doesn’t take long to reach the waterfall but beware of slippery areas on the path. It is also slightly rough in places so anyone with mobility problems might experience some difficulty.
The trees and rock formations are brilliant! Rain forest trees soar upwards and stands of bamboo add to the wonderful display of nature.
There’s many different plants, insects, flowers and butterflies to see along with a variety of bird life.
Don’t rush! Take your time and admire the scenery.
Probably a couple of hours will be long enough here. There are toilets near the car pork.
Well worth visiting.

My suggestion if you want best experience here:
1. Early - Rent a bike or car so that you can arrive here earlier than others.
2. Walk - Go up a little bit, you will see several pond with a lot of fishes. You can swim here as it consider deep 1-1.5 meter
3. Camera - It's will be very good if you have underwater camera. But phone should be enough.
4. Food - You may want to bring something to eat. Sandwich etc.
I came here on my way back to Hatyai (driving). Around 12PM-1PM, people start to arrive using van (must be included in their tour package). Stay here about 2 hours because of the water very refreshing. There is washroom here, so you dont have to worry about changing your clothes.

We walked to the waterfalls from Manora Gardens B&B where we were staying approx 4kms return. Saw lots of magnificent fruit trees such as orangutan, Jack fruit, longan and mangosteen. Tropical paradise. Q

We enjoyed the waterfall and the fish nibbling on our feet. It is beautiful. Has free entry and is a good way to spend an hour in the waterfall. Bring a costume and towel.

We take our friends that visit us here all the time, it aonly 10 minutes from our home, make sure you go after it’s rained as the waterfalls will be better, beautiful opportunity for photos

It is a good place for the traveler who love natural resources. To visit here, there is a local bus / local motorcycle taxi to get there. You can find local Thai food including north-eastern food (Somtam for example). Unfortunately, there is no ATMs / Money exchange at this place. No entrance fee for travelers. Recommended to bring a mat for sitting on / nearby the pool. Of cause, a lot of pool you can swim. Own/rental car may easier to get there.

We were staying very near to this and decided to have an afternoon at the waterfall.
It's probably a good idea to take waterproof shoes or sea shoes if you want to explore well, and swimming kit + towels if you plan to bathe.
We got some great photos and had a nice experience here, despite the rains.

This park is north of town. Easy to reach by any kind of transport. The last three kms leads you on a nice road through plantations to the entrance of the park. The park is also known as 'Manora Waterfall'
The entrance fee: free (august 2015)
Time: many minivan tourists stay 30 minutes. You can easily stay for two hours or more walking, swimming, having free 'fish spa' and to try the trail.
Lower part: water flows everywhere. Left and right. nice trees, roots. Good for pictures. It end at the 'swimming pool'. (The short-time-tourists' will not get further.
Higher part: Continue walking, cross some wooden tree-bridges. After a while you will see the real starting point for the trail! NOTICE THAT THE SIGN AT THE BEGINNING SHOWS YOU THE TRAIL ALREADY, BUT THE STARTING POINT IS ABOUT 1 KM FURTHER... If you stay only 1 hour, just do the lower part!
Food: Between about 12 and 3.30 there is a small restaurant and some foodstalls.
Park closes at 5.30.

We stopped by for about an hour or so. Very beautiful place, but there were too many people as it was a Saturday. Maybe try to get there earlier in the morning or visit during the week. Even though there were many people on that day, but it was worth it. A very beautiful scenery, fresh clean water nice for just sitting in the water to cool off. You can also walk up the hill, my husband and son enjoyed that very much. I was just happy sitting in the water and looked at the little fish and the tourists. If you visit Phang Nga, this is a nice place to stop by.
