Sala Kaew Ku is a temple situated just outside of Nong Khai. It contains many sculptures and monuments representing Buddhism, Hindu and Jain faiths. There is also a small lake full of organic fish and some small stalls selling refreshments and the usual tourist merchandise....More
Very interesting sculpture park just a few minutes away from the Maekong River and tourist shopping in Nong Khai.
There is also a Buddhist Temple within the grounds. However, its the size and variety of the sculptures that is the main attraction here.
I visited Sala Kaew Ku on a trip out from Udon Thani, and I had a great time. The sculptures are huge and very finely detailed. I had a lot of fun walking through the sculpture garden and admiring the intricate designs.
