We are a family of 5, and this is my 2nd trip to Koh Nang Yuan after 15 years. The island was overcrowded with visitors and it seems the aquatic life has almost vanished. Corals are bleached and mostly dead, and schools of colorful fishes...More

Spent 4 hours here and that was plenty. Had a swim, went for a walk up the look out and took lots of pics. Definitely worth it. We took a long tail boat over from Lamai beach for $300 baht return, cheap!

We visited Koh Nang Yuan as the final stop on a round-the-island snorkeling trip. We expected it to be the best stop, but it was awful. Tourists were funneled off the boats and along a jetty onto a few small stretches of beach and a...More

Was quite disappointed , went here on a snorkelling trip , very overrated. Food was expensive from the beach bar, loads and loads of Chinese tourist when we went and they were so rude! Wouldn't give way when walking or say sorry for bumping into...More

So many tour boats, buffet lunches with people attacking the buffet like it's their last meal, basically just overwhelming and too crowded. Not my idea of relaxing.

We visited this island as part of our boat trip to Koh Tao. It took a little time to actually get to the beach as its very busy and the admission process is quite strict (something our guide noted that the Thai's aren't happy with)....More

What is the best time to arrive here? Would it be better as soon as entry opens at 10am or around 2pm when most people would leave? Thanks

I've been told early afternoon from the locals on Koh Tao, due to the large numbers or tourist groups that come early morning. However, it may not make to big a difference if it's not busy season and the islands are not... More

Hello. Possible, but price will be high. Better to use 1-day tour or just go be big ship or fast big boat (2-3 times per day) to Koh Tao and there rent a local taxi boat to Koh Nang Yuan (about 300 Baht in both ways)
best way to visit Koh Nang Yuan from phuket ? itinerary? time needed? mean of transportation etc.

Flight to Koh Samui (about an hour) and then a ferry to Koh Tao (three hours), then a ferry from Koh Tao (half hour). Certainly not worth it for just a day trip but if you're going to Koh Tao for other reasons, it's nice
