Jansom Bay is a beautiful white sand beach. One of the best on the island of Koh Tao. The beach is only 10 minutes walk from Mae Haad, the main port town, on the south-west side of Koh Tao. It's good for kids because there is no currents and the water is clear and quite shallow. It's a privately owned beach so a small entrance fee will be charged.

This is a private beach but you can go if you pretend like you own the place. It is small, quiet with a great beach with not much coral in the water until you go out for snorkeling. The snorkeling is quite nice there. You can go out a ways but I recommend staying close to the shoreline as there... More

I was staying at one of the hotels by the Jansom Bay, so had free access to this small little beach. The water is crystal clear with lots of fishes swimming around you. There are deck chairs and sunshades. On site there is a bar (with nice toilets), massage hut and also a place to rent snorkeling equipment. Has got... More

Jansom Bay is the best place on the western coast of Tao. But it is private, so you have to pay 200 Baht to stay there unless you are guest of Charm Churee Villa hotel.

We loved our bungalow! The breakfast was amazing and when we left early they packed us a breakie bag for the boat trip. The rooms were clean, the pool is amazing and the beach (although a little littered) was beautiful with amazing coral and a few further down the track south to explore as well. Staff were lovely and attentive... More

We had a good time swimming around here while exploring Ko Tao. The beach is beautiful, but to get access to it you need to shell out 200 bhat per person, which isn`t a huge deal but there is a really nice beach at Sensi Paradise Resort that I don`t believe charges anything within a 10 minute walk.

We were walking in the jungle for hours and saw a small bay and went there to have a short rest.We even did not know it was Jansom Bay, by the time we went there,a Thai guy came and asked us to pay 200 baht per person. We said we will not swim and will leave in a few min.,he... More

I stayed at Chamchuree Resort and this beach was offered to our group as our private beach. There are lots of sunbeds, a bar, a rental place for snokelling masks (i think they give them out for free if you stay at this resort). Great place for friends gathering, relaxing and snokelling. The are a lot of fish in this... More

Small beach with coarse sand, but lots of beautiful friendly fish. Great experience. As the others said its part of Charm Churee Villa resort, so 200 baht for non-residenents.

Loved snorkeling here! An abundance of fish and coral to view. The beach is only open to those staying at the resort- which we will not be doing again! But visitors can pay 200 baht to use the beach and bay.
