Cave looks very interestingly from outside but you cant go inside. I think it is waste of time to go there.

Our tour stopped at this cave. It was best to see it from the outside briefly, but you’re not allowed to go in. We snorkeled nearby and the snorkeling was incredible. From the outside you can see they have tall bamboo, so the cave must be very tall.

We bought a "7 islands" tour and this cave was among the attractions. We had a few minutes to stop there, that's it, no one was allowed to go inside because it's private property.
The cave has its name because there are paintings of ancient Scandinavian Viking ships somewhere INSIDE (that we obviously couldn't see).

We made a video about the tour around Phi Phi Islands (and Bamboo Island too), where we advise what is better to avoid, at what time is better to go to be THE FIRST at Maya Bay Beach, and which boat to choose and etc.

You can find it on YouTube with the title:

"You better learn THIS before going to Phi Phi Island Tour"

I hope it helps!

This place is nothing special. We went past on a boat tour and Took a quick photo. Really don't know why it's such an attraction?

Pulled past this on trip round koh phi phi lee. Not allowed to stop or enter as protective area for birds, and not really much to see. A guard is there to ensure you dont enter, its ok if you’re passing but don’t go out of your way to see it

The guide told us that local people pick bird eggs and climb the cliffs on bamboo pipes…😳🤯 but for me, it’s fine to just glide by in the boat!😉

Viking Cave is one of the tourist attractions in Koh Phi Phi Le island and we had visited the same during our sightseeing tour by speed boat. This cave is located on the way to Pileh Lagoon. We saw this cave from our boat and took pictures while our guide explained us why this place is called Viking Cave.

As much as birds nest is a delicacy in some of these far eastern countries, so this is considered a must see. You just ride around the island and the guide will give a complete history and how the whole process of retrieving these valuable nests etc works.

locally called Tham Phaya Nak, which is located on Phi Phi Leh, for a good glimpse of the caves. The cave is a huge collection of swifts’ nests, the main component of bird’s nest soup – it is a Chinese specialty and ridiculously expensive. I wonder how humans exploit not only animals but their shelters too and also pay such an outrageous amount – at least 2500 $ for a single nest. As an Animal lover, we don't like the place at all.
